I think SS can play anywhere across the front 4, probably why JDT like him, along with his press. SS as number 9 with Dack behind and Thomas & Dolan on the flanks works for me.

I agree, but where would you put him? You simply cannot take Szmodics out just for his engine alone.

He was the best of a bad bunch, bar his awful miss, he was good on the ball and kept the tempo going unlike the rest…Dolan has always been let down by his finishing, if he had any end product we would have a player on our hands…

It was defiantly the lack of options as to why we couldn’t play it out from the back. 3 in the middle helps the back 4 but also brings the best out of Morton. I’ve slightly calmed down now but it was unforgivable form JDT to switch it back after such a dominating performance. Im hearing comments on A Wharton from the manager about his Defence duties. If you stick him in a 3 then we have the 2 others to clean up after him - It’s really that simple! A Wharton has the ability to split defences open, we just cannot afford to have him sat on the bench. There is no excuse to dropping him! I’m hoping the manager sees light on the next game, we MUST have a midfield 3 otherwise Coventry will tear us apart, their CMs are some of the best in the league.

Diaz & Gallagher 1000% should be dropped. Coventry are a different beast compared to hull. Hamer will run the show for them in the midfield so we need to match them. Going to be really tough and unfortunately see us loosing. However we seem to perform when we expect to loose so I’m going 1-1. Coventry fans have brought a few and we’re the loudest to come to ewood last season so we need to be at them. Make or break…

I just think the formation change, after such a dominant performance against hudds, wasn’t needed…3 man midfield suits us. I also think it was wrong to start Gallagher, Thomas would of slipped in nicely on the right with Dolan uptop…Not sure what he sees with Gallagher…I for one can’t wait to see the back of him in summer.

JDT got everything wrong tonight. We all called it before the game with that line up!

I’ve been mad at this team & this manager a few times this season but tonight is just another level…Totally toothless from start to finish. I’ve never been as frustrated watching us this season than that second half. Formation wrong, Diaz awful! Hyam truely terrible, and Sam Gallagher??? I think we should just terminate his contract tonight and stick with Leonard. Words can’t describe how mad I am after that, JDT totally clueless!!!!! Hull were awful, but we just let them back in the game 2nd half.

Playing okay, but really where are our goals coming from? Sam Gallagher truely is an awful player and Diaz is just as bad. Only Szmodics & Dolan putting a shift in. The back 2 look shakey also. Finally Hull are one of the worst teams I’ve seen this season. If we don’t beat these then we should be worried.

BIG GAME. No way should we revert back to a 4-2-3-1. The 3 man midfield worked perfectly against Hudds & certainly upped our tempo. If we see the return of just Trav & Morton in the middle then we won’t win this game IMO

Exactly…total nonsense to just say we played badly just because we were asleep for 5 minutes out of 45. We were the better team first half and defiantly the better in the second. I don’t buy this goals wins games rubbish when judging a performance. We’ve won games this season where I don’t think we deserved to, I’d still say we played poorly…Cardiff home, Huddersfield home, especially Birmingham at home…
