  1. So Dack was running the game. Smodicks hasn't touched the ball yet Good sub Jon.
  2. Good game for a change. Lovely finish from Dack. In the end though, 2 points dropped as we make our way down the table.
  3. And many passed on. Whats more stubborn than an Indian businessman ? An old working class Lancashire bloke.
  4. They attract a few more people to go for the one off. Friends etc. Not fans. They wont attract me or thousands of other fans because we are waiting for the owners to leave. Really simple concept.
  5. We are also getting another quarter of a million for being live on the BBC Red Button & iplayer. So chucking £30K in should be seen, 100% as no different than a little flutter down the bookies on us getting to the next round. If we got City away Stevey will be in bonus heaven. https://www.totalsportal.com/football/fa-cup-prize-money/ The Carabao cup works the same way. 45% each way. That nice little trip to West Ham probably paid for our new striker.... oh wait.
  6. Lets not think that Waggott is discounting tickets for Leicester. Firstly, gettting to this round will not have been in the budget. That means every penny we rake in makes him look even more of a hero to his paymasters. Secondly, away at a PL team is far more lucrative for us than being at home. Between the third and sixth rounds FA CUP games, 45 per cent of gate receipts are divided between both clubs, with 10 per cent heading into a central pot. This discount to our modest allocation is being funded entirely by Leicester fans rather than our club. Waggott's spreadsheet convinces him that it must be his birthday so a crumb thrown to the peasants.
  7. We have had 2 shots on target all night. No wonder we hardly score.
  8. I don't think anyone has told the lads we are at home to the bottom side and can go back into the play offs.
  9. I just reminded myself he's playing. Not heard him mentioned yet. Don't think he has had a touch.
  10. I don't think I have seen it mentioned but do we know who this was ? An agreement was also close for a striker on deadline day, while other targets came and went during the course of January.
  11. So does O'Brien just play for Forest's U23s now or does he have to sit it out the remainder of the season ? I realise he will still get his PL salary but what a waste.
  12. Too early to start the Summer Transfer Window thread ? Markanday will be back as our first like a new striker. Then we will get another on loan to replace Diaz. Oh and a midfielder from Liverpool on loan. That should be our lot. Great window.
  13. So if I recall, there were 3 teams after O'Brien. 2 dropped out leaving us. I bet he wouldn't have chosen us in a 2 horse race. Then I suppose O'Brien was the last choice for us. He came available only on the Tuesday. Cantwell had already fucked us off. Goodness knows who else. Thing is, if O'Brien hadn't become suddenly available, who were we bringing in instead ? Clearly nobody. Venkys Out.
  14. At that stage they indicated they didn’t have space in the 25-man squad for him. At that stage there, of course we have to offer the support mechanisms in place. but every penny of that, for a club of Rochdale’s status right now, is absolutely vital. We have to find a way of ensuring that income can go to them and ensuring that Ethan can become a Blackburn Rovers player.
  15. Did I read that correctly from Broughton, we are basically going to be paying what had been agreed to both players ? Support mechanisms and find a way to get the money to the Rochdalr lad.
  16. The optimist in me wonders if Forest can cancel O'Brien's contract by mutual consent so we can sign him next week as a free agent. (?)
