  1. Drum Roll.... We all have to look surprised at the extension announcement. Shocked Emoji
  2. They openly said in the fans forum a couple of years ago that they deleted most of the database due to GDPR so were unable to contact these people. I have had nothing from the club for easy 5 years. I used to get postcard flyers. Having said that, I wouldn't buy one if they were £100 whilst the owners remain. I get that people moan about Waggott as he is the senior man on site. That powerlessness that he is the only one we can blame. Personally I have no issue with him. He is just a paid employee who would be replaced by the same. Following the orders of the owners under the watchful gaze of the senior man on site, Suhail. But we must ignore the owners and Suhail and focus on Waggott. Pointless. Anyway back to ten pound tickets. So what. Its like the pub offering £1 pints and being "busy" only to be dead again the night after.... obviously. I have watched every single match this season (apart from a couple of EFL Cup) on TV and not paid a penny. Looks like next season will need to be the same. As soon as they leave, I will immediately walk down and buy a ST. That wont change regardless of manager or CEO. Neither will the fact that I am more blue and white than half the ST holders.
  3. The ACV listing for Ewood runs out in September, circa 4 months. Are The Trust pursuing a renewal ?
  4. They will not "de-value the product". Numerous ways it may be absorbed... Towards P&S (less loss) so Venkys can put less in. Or it should mean Venkys can actually put more in (if they choose). Doubt it myself. Better wages Better Players Perhaps a test of this will be how this Summer financial cycle plays out. We have the (over budget) windfall of all these Sky games plus 2 cup runs. Lets see where it goes.
  5. I suppose if a 7:45 KO is inconvenient due to where you live, or getting back from work, then how much notice you get isn't helpful. I mean I couldn't go to games on a weekday afternoon (as example). Isn't this why the working man's game was played at 3pm on a Saturday.
  6. OK that is fair enough, especially for those who live or work further afield. Just wondered 😁 Fact is that the EFL clubs have been pushing for this (all of them) to get a bigger share of the TV cash cow. This is more important financially (especially in the Championship) than an extra few in the ground. Presume the additional income will count in the P&S calculation, so could mean we may be able to afford to buy players? Fans unfortunately will come second to Sky. Our big problem is we are under a Sky curse.
  7. How does it affect match going fans ? They will be at the match. I suppose they can record it to watch back again... so a good thing ?
  8. We had several MUST WIN games weeks ago but didn't shoot, score or win in any. This game is just a season footnote. Same players, playing the same way, predictable same outcome. I also expect the same 11 to start next season (minus Brereton) so I hope they are developed over the summer.
  9. I'm calling now, With a week to go until the season starts, we will still be "working on a striker". And Ethan Brierley does not count.
  10. Diaz played the last 4 months like his legs were stuck in a hessian sack.
  11. So what is most likely happening is... Sunderland and West Brom and Rovers get beat.
  12. Based on JDTs body language at full time he is leaving.
  13. That will be tbose who aren't going back no matter the price until the owners have gone. I am one of them.
  14. After a string of must win games, in which we failed to bother a succession of keepers, why would today be any different ?
  15. Why would you create an option for full paying season ticket holders to pay less ? Makes no sense for a business making a huge loss. I have no idea why people discuss it.
  16. We are losing £85,000 per day I wont contribute until they leave. Eventually their bodies will float by and we will all return to our beloved Rovers. #integrity #patience
  17. OK, last summer, Mowbray and half the team had gone followed by not one of the fans favourites being hired. The drums of Venky doom were being played as we all expected a horrible season fighting relegation under someone cheap, hired in desperation. Suddenly we hired GB and JDT. Eyebrows and hopes were raised. What is this ? We had long clamoured to start our promising youth under Mowbray, yet he stubbornly used men anywhere on the park. Men who didn't care enough about Rovers to sign new contracts. On the pitch we got our wish to see our youth stutter, grow and flourish in front of our eyes. Adam Wharton's Blue and White was ringing out last night with pride. Relegation ? No.... A play off push keeping the embers of hope burning with only 2 to go. Two cup runs filled with pride we had long forgotten about. On the pitch, JDT has done his job this season, his first season. I applaud. Well done Jon and Thank You. Off the pitch, it's now over to you Gregg ! Get us what we need so we can have our own promotion party this time next season. Even sweeter in a Burnley relegation season.
  18. No point even considering what the other sides will do. We are not going to suddenly develop a goalscorer and start winning games. Moreover we are not going to do it for the next 2 games, bever mind 5 games. Just let it go. Enjoy the summer.
  19. It felt like we played well. We did. However we were never anywhere near scoring a goal. Week after week its been the same. You only win games by scoring goals and for that reason, we have no chance of winning these last 2 games. I hope our new striker isn't Ethan Brierley but I fear it will be.
  20. Neither side remotely looked like scoring. We pushed but there was not really a chance to speak off. Absolutely desperate for a striker. Won by a top drawer goal. Season over now.
