  1. Impossible to know from this angle. Only thing to say with certainty is the players don't complain. VID-20200209-WA0001.mp4
  2. I can't see it on the rovers site. Is it subscription only ? Don't have Sky sports. Can you video it with your phone and post ?
  3. I agree with most of it including the points you highlighted Paul. Tbf Walton stopped it being at least 3-0 Was quite a bit of shirking challenges and headers yesterday. Maybe it was psychological not wanting more injuries. Travis in particular pulled out of a few first half making me think hes avoiding picking up a yellow by instruction. The passing is poor in that everything up top is too static. Passes should be played into space for players to run on to. See how quickly pretty much all PL sides get the ball from one end to the other. Prime example on the highlights just before the Gally header. Ball gets played wide behind the man who has to go back to collect it. That is very basic passing. Too many times the ball can be played into a channel but instead we wait and play to feet. Way too static and predictable.
  4. Watching the Sky highlights to see the disallowed goal again, only to find it isn't included. Must mean it wasn't a highlight. Bell has improved recently. JRC was out of his depth yesterday. In hindsight (maybe) Bennett should have played there. Was that Tosin who was flummoxed by Mitrovic for the goal ? Why bring Ben on with 2 minutes left ? Walton was MOM yesterday. Travis didn't do anything of note apart from play them in for the goal. Walton basically stopped it finishing 3-0. Graham still our best striker and only physical presence. Fantasic attitude as well. Very poor overall. Attendance was also dire. Tuesday is likely to be the lowest actual attendance of the season.
  5. Too static up front. Poor half really. Hope for more movement second half to create a few opportunities. Zero shots that half. 1-0 will do nicely.
  6. Waggott said his head has gone and he has been refusing to play for the U23s. Not going to end well unless he sorts himself out.
  7. I think he should be sacked if we come 10th or if we come 7th but 20 points adrift. Measure is showing progression and challenging for the top 6.
  8. No. Tbf this is probably more for the fans forum to follow up.
  9. .agreed but the general point stands that we are very close... just not sure how close. This is why they have taken on 8 new staff at the academy and spent half a million on the pitches.... The headline figures dont tell us the detailed story but they still give us an indicator. The point is many thought FFP didnt look at our season in L1 but it does. "adjustments are coming" ?
  10. £1.3 million was budget in Jan. That makes a mockery of talk of buying players for 2 - 4 mill. Forget it. Self imposed wage cap. Will not break it. Many Champ players on £50K and ours are on a quarter.... that's £12.5K so don't believe that myself but the general point stands. Emphasis on the kids and academy (from Steve) from financial solution POV. Conflict is Tony needing men ready for Champ. Warton will be re-assessed in summer but some weeks he gets bullied at Northampton so still needs to improve to be ready for Champ. Defenders did come. Walton, Tosin, Cunningham. Accepted back to square 1 in summer. Sounded like no appetite to actually buy a defender...none really identified who we can afford and fits criteria. We will bring in 2 x GKs in summer. (remember same said in summer). Tosin - no chance to buy (£18 mill or something) but will try to get another 6 month loan from City. Walton was not the GK we wanted. Last minute after Raya left. Nearly sent back in Jan but Tony likes him and wanted give him chance and support him. Personally I am OK with that.
  11. Mike confirmed thst the FFP rules do include our season in L1. i.e Championship FFP rules are the last 3 years losses, regardless that whilst actually in L1 being measured by SCMP. Having had that clarified. 2017-18 = £16.8 million 2018-19 = £19.5 million Meaning this season circa £3 million losses allowed.... He would only repeat his line..."at the moment we are FFP compliant" If necessary "various adjustments are available to them" before June deadline. ACV makes any sale and lease back of Ewood difficult (perhaps unlikely). Players are not shown as assets on the balance sheet so that is available if required (not exactly sure what he meant by that). Sounded like they had a plan to make said adjustments before June to remain compliant.
  12. same wage budget = same quality or lower. Better players are on better wages.
  13. You might recall (it was less than a week ago) that we couldn't afford to buy ANYBODY even kids from the lower leagues. Whether we have no money or whether we have money but can't spend it, the result is the same. Funny how some fans slip seamlessly from January window to Summer window, punctuated only by a shrug.
  14. To increase revenue. The burden is being carried by loyal fans who walk on, being charged twice the price PLUS Waggott Tax Unfair pricing policy.
  15. Rovers dont have the money. Just wondered who was paying for Forster.
  16. Season Tickets £320 mean £14 per game. 8500 will pay no matter what. Walk ons charged £22 - £30 PLUS £3 Waggott Tax. Grossly unfair 2 tier system. No wonder nobody goes down. Put season tickets up to £18 per game £414. Make all games a flat rate of £20 for walk ons NO Waggott Tax. ST holders will either pay it or convert to walk ons and pay even more. Fair pricing for all fans and consistently more in the ground.
  17. Kean, Bowyer, Lambert, Coyle, Mowbray. Different characters but all share the same agent.... how is that ?
  18. Top 6 is the only target Stuart. i.e play offs or challenging. 7th or 8th within 3 points of the play offs is progress and acceptable success in that sense. Same as last season is stagnation and failure. No ifs, no spin, no buts, no excuses.
  19. The manager rewrites his own targets based on actuals and has no fear of accountability. However we remember the only target is top 6 and failure means failure. Failure should mean the sack at a normal club. Knowing he is immune from such accountability he has said he will walk. Let's see.
