This could really shake up the pyramid. Maybe its just natural progression despite the history of all these town clubs from nostalgic days long past. ? If you look at the reality of the modern game, Rovers are arguably in the 3rd division. We have a top half PL which is like D1 (PL1). Big money city teams. Then the bottom half PL sides and top of champ like D2 (PL2). Then rest of Champ plus a few big clubs lower down (D3). Some Champ clubs plus most below simply not viable as pro clubs. ?

Right now there is 1 play off place left and (arguably) 7 teams in contention. Given Preston's poor form I would say actually only 2 or 3 realistically in contention. Down the bottom there all 3 places still to be determined with 7 teams in the mix. Add Wigan into that now so 8. Wigan basically bottom now on 38 points but top of the form table. Competitive league. We got outplayed by Barnsley then Luton draw with Leeds.

Way back to the start of the season.... The target this season (as stated by the club) was progression measured by challenging for the play offs. Fact is if we finish 7th or 8th AND miss out by a point or 2 then we met the target. Play offs would be exceeding. Promotion we are simply nowhere near ready for. However finishing 10th on similar points to last season is a massive failure.

This is simply not correct. Pre virus, we were standing at minus £15million with FFP compliance. That was netted off in the budget by selling Dack who then got crocked. We are now minus £15.7 million. Owners cannot just bung in £700K. It needs to come from income. Methods of income are revenue from fans (nope), commercial revenue (nope) or player sales.

Need to get Rothwell off and Brereton on. Who is playing centre forward ? Nobody by the looks of it. We have made quite a lot of crosses but we have no centre forward playing. Need Arma and BB up top (central). Chapman and Samuel on the wings.

Rothwell really is crap. Just played a terrible ball to Armstrong pushed him wide. It was the simplest of passes, shot, goal. He is a 3rd division player at best.
