MUST WIN GAME. Hope Mowbray realises this. -
So unless you have an eticketng account setup on the Rovers site (which I don't) then you have no way to be aware of the ifollow deadline / offer ? They should have made individual contact with all 8500 fans surely. No issue with the deadline itself but the only way I know about it (and the offer) is from coming on here. Refund is a legal obligation (unless you waived the right by signing up for an ifollow pass).

Jeff back off furlough for Saturday. Strictly speaking he should have long hair and no sun tan. -
Agreed. After the season finishes early August (play off final is 2nd Aug I think) there is the FA cup, Europa league & Champions league all scheduled for mid August. Think the Champions league Final is 23rd Aug. Then 3 weeks holday followed by pre-season. The longer they wait the more chance of having some fans back inside. October sounds right to me. The big unknown is if the virus has seasonality and in January we are back to square 1.

Watched Bremen v Bayern. Thought it was enjoyable. Crowd noise pumped in so was actually better than a real crowd where often its quiet. Think it depends a bit on the camera angles at the stadium as well. Bremen was the same camera position as we have at Rovers, in that you hardly see the stands so didn't matter they were empty. There was green netting all around to stop balls going in the stands. Not sure if all grounds are having this? Looked a bit odd sometimes on close ups. Villareal had different camera positions where you could always see the stands. They had the whole stadium full of cardboard fans so looked OK. Presume club paid for them as it was 100% attendance. Expect Rovers will have about a hundred spaced 4 seats apart.

Players and staff probably want and expect family holidays just like fans Tom. It's only their job.

very predictable. pure desperation. -
I am not signing up for an ifollow password. Once you do that you will have accepted the offer and thus waive your comsumer rights for a refund. Probably banking on most doing that before the Bristol game, thereby reducing the potential liability to a few thousand quid, paid for by fools buying cardboard cut outs for £25. Net zero is the only way.

Problem is that nobody watches Championship football except fans of those clubs. I simply never watch Champ games on TV unless we are on. The PL is so lucrative due to its global audience on top of the gate receipts. At Champ level it only means fans who usually go, now watching on TV instead, with TV company taking a slice. i.e. less revenue for clubs (not more). Not economically viable. Don't be surprised to see football rebooted in 21/22 with PL1 and PL2 with around 16 clubs in each.
-
I wouldn't worry about next year's STs. Waggott won't be... and clubs offering discounts next season are likely misleading their fans to take a credit note to preserve cash. I can't see there being a Championship season in 20/21. No club could survive a full season BCD and the TV money is next to nothing. We are only finishing this season as a one off to tie up contractual loose ends. The PL will be the nation's TV entertainment, all played BCD. No football below the PL and none in Scotland. Only way we play next season is if we are promoted this summer. Championship football next season is simply not economically viable.
-
I expect you can get a refund via your CC company if you bought your ST, Super 6 or Final 4 that way. Consumer rights. Paid for goods or service not received.
-
Probably not concerned about next season's ST sales as they know there won't be any to sell.
-
Exactly. It was on an FFP knife edge pre Virus. Now.... promotion or bust.
-
We simply don't have the money. I also got a Final Four but its now an investment in my club. Not interested in an ifollow pass as got it free already on IPTV. However I also won't request a refund. No ST holders should be asking for refunds IMO.
-
The refund situation is not a case of Vs putting up the cash or not. We are already in the FFP hole to £15 million before the virus came along. Refunds to 9000 fans would just make it a whole lot worse. We already had to refund a bucket load of cash to corporate bookings for the Leeds game. We are replacing the leavers with free transfers or academy players / making do with the left overs. Waggott told me 17 teams in the Champ have the benefactor model and all are severely restricted by FFP. Promotion is the ONLY way out of the mess. Unless there is a temporary rule change, we are already lined up for FFP sanctions due to deferring wages. Then it gets worse if the £15 million hole isn't plugged before the next accounts get published. 3rd year of the cycle and we are basically fucked if we dont get promoted THIS SEASON.

Yes we do. The accounts tell us that to stay FFP compliant we need to sell. The golden goose is crocked and the virus put pay to the rest. The budget stands at minus £15 million. The only hope is the teams above us have positive tests on their key players and Mowbray wins the PL lotto. -

Government held the upper hand in the exclusivity negotiation with broadcasters. Option 1 - we can follow the French precedent and say no pro sport until September at the earliest. Option 2 - you sell us some of your exclusivity. In return we tweak the laws on the 3pm blackout, facilitate a June restart by our unlock roadmap and pay a sum of money via the BBC.
