I’m not sure they’d be as keen, but they will probably be swayed if they’re struggling for coin in the same way as the others.

If it happens in a couple of years i can see Newcastle being invited and they'd most likely do what the saudis want and  accept their invitation

  2. He wouldn't have mentioned it if there still wasn't plans to go ahead, its the same as the European superleague as in first announced then supposedly ditched because of the reaction from fans to it yet behind the scenes plans to go ahead are still there and i'm am thinking its the same with Brockhall.

I don't see how we were fortunate in the last 2 tournaments with the draw? The draw is the draw, England just get on and keep delivering every time under Southgate. Didn't we beat a very good German team full of quality players and Denmark who has some very good players playing some of the best league s in Euro?

The German team has failed to get out of the group stages for the last 2 world cups,i'd hardly call them a team full of quality players, they don't come close to some of the German teams from the past.

It's f**&-,in tiresome being on here. Why can't we show some positivity. We have one of the best defensive records and the best attacks playing In a world cup with no obvious favourite. Yes some realism but every sentence is argued with 'yes but we haven't played anyone ' or 'mbappe will be too good' or 'we are defensively weak' jees rovers have turned everyone into pessimists.

Probably 56 years since winning anything gets people thinking the worst.

Are we one of the few teams that can win the cup,yes we are,

Has Southgate shown he can get teams through knockout games, yes he has but...

Has he shown he can beat big teams in big games in the final stages of tournaments,no he hasnt and until that changes you will find people picking holes in things, you call it pessimism,i call it being realistic

I will be cheering England on as much as the rest of us on Saturday and will be thrilled to be proven wrong.

I think you're grasping a bit here pal, Mbappe won't be changing his game for nobody.  There's far more traffic in the middle, he likes to isolate full backs....and he's right footed so your theory doesn't hold water.

What has right footed got to do with sitting on Maguire shoulder and running onto passes through the MIDDLE of the pitch. You saying one of the best players in the world cant score goals unless hes coming in from  the left wing

I share the same concerns about France’s quick attackers as everyone else, but let’s remember also, that they’ve got three players injured in Pogba, Kante and Benzema that absolutely would be starting if fit. Their stand ins have done well enough obviously, but we’ve got players that can hurt them as well.

It should be a very close game.

I can see it being a 3-2 type of game, too many good players going forward for a 0-0 or a 1-0

Of course it does cos Mbappe plays on the left so will be up against Walker or Tripper. Maguire plays on the left side of defence

What part of after tonight Deschamps will tell Mbappe to play in the shoulder of Maguire are you not getting from what i'm saying, and even if he plays on the left there's nothing stopping him from drifting inside from time to time to get past the slow CB's

didn't Southgate change it against by swapping Rashford and Foden and we looked miles better?

Can Deschamps change a game if behind? lets see if he can

So how would you line up then? Drop Giroud or Move Griezmann?

Doesn't matter how the rest of the team is set up,with Mbappe set up against Maguire hes going to get a couple of goals

Mbappe plays on the left side of the attack not the right.

Mbappe was good today and he will become a great footballer if he doesn't get injury in the future but I don't fear him like I said. won't the French be concern about Foden, Bellingham and Kane?

Yes they will be concerned but i see England as the same as Rovers score first and we get confident and play well but go behind and i can't see Southgate having the nous to change things and i see Mbappe causing us tons of problems

As for Mbappe playing on the left as i said after Descamps sees tonights game and sees how slow and cumbersome  Maguire is up against a speedy player he'll play Mbappe up against him

    No, I don't.

France haven't been outstanding in this world cup and just like we haven't. No leading nation has been outstanding this world cup

I don't believe anybody with any sense of good football didn't watch Mbappe today and not be in the slightest concerned about how our ponderous defence will cope with his pace
