Pickering is a far better footballer technically. Nyambe beats him on physical attributes obviously but to call him a far better player I'd say is a bit off. Personally think Pickering has been very impressive and it's clear he's got something about him. I'd take a right sided version of him as a Nyambe replacement and be more than happy. No I don't think that. But a lack of tactical nous can only be covered by passion so far. Successful managers have both. I'd rather a boring sod with some intelligence than someone skating by on passion. That's saved for assistant managers (Duncan Ferguson, Sammy Lee etc), there's a reason they aren't managers. Suggesting you want David Speedie, a man who has been known to make racist remarks and is clearly desperate for attention on Twitter, no matter how serious you were or not, is a little moronic however...

To be fair we are being linked with a left back today... And it's been stated several times it's something they're at sorting. I really don't think it's down to the manager not being arsed... The lad just clearly didn't fancy it and wasn't even interested in talking to the manager. I'm sure it happens a lot.
