  1. Jdt showing everyone even more what a fraud Mowbray was and a dull tactician, refreshing to see what we can do when we hand a tactician, let them have possession hit their weaknesses and our strengths and we’ve done it brilliantly 👏 months ago we lost to the same Swansea with 10 men for the majority of the game and we looked clueless and today we smashed it got it Bob on well done jdt and the lads
  2. Jdt 👏 proper tactician unlike the last clown who couldn’t even get a draw against these lot with 10 men
  3. The whole dack defeat got me thinking weather to experiment him as a CF ? He’s certainly got the instinct and goal scoring ability of a quality striker at this level, that way despite still needing to press he’s not being asked of too much of as he would in number 10 role, certainly worth a go for a couple cameos
  4. For me it’s Kaminski brittain ayala wharton pickering travis buckley hedges Szmodics brereton gallagher pears, Barnes, Edun, Morton, dack, Dolan, Markanday
  5. Sammie signing means great competition and depth for the number 10 role with dack and Dolan, hedges, Markanday and co also able to play there
  6. BBD bring linked to wolves, it’s clear he ain’t gonna sign a new deal unless stupid money which will be his agent doing a number on us like the rest so sell while we can still make a profit and that should fund his replacement (bowler) and more like styles
  7. Wharton and garret are just coming in yes we have a great academy but Liverpool being one of the top 4 biggest clubs in the world will obviously have quality from theirs that will yes won’t compete with like Harvey Elliot
  8. Carter being injured and Ayala being injury prone despite how good he is I’ve gone from thinking we need 1 defender to needing 2 get a perm in and then a loan in, JPVH in on loan would be great just can’t see him coming on a perm.. not for our budget anyway. Morton coming in will be competition and depth to midfield and the lad from peterbrough coming in as cover/comp for number 10 which will provide great options with dack being the bet there atm aswell as hedges, Dolan and Markanday also more than capable of that role. bowler would be a fantastic edition too especially if brereton is going, on the subject of brereton if he ain’t gonna sigh a new deal he needs to be sold while we can still make a profit rather than a lenihan/ nyambe/Rothwell situation where his agent has his contract run down and goes for newt or we have to sell for peanuts in January, sell him asap and we can bring in his replacement and more, minus brereton we have Dolan, Markanday, hedges and vale who can play that wide forward role, I don’t include gally cause he isn’t good there and needs to be front and centre so if BBD leaves then we are gonna need bowler and another to have the best depth and quality we can expect from that role if jdt wants to play that system but fortunately unlike mowbraysarus jdt can adapt his system to the teams strengths instead of the square pegs round holes mentality we had ti out yo with for 5 years… sticking anyone anywhere to play the stubborn old clowns stupid daft so called systems
  9. Couldn’t give a monkeys about what others think, small followings should be up there it’s easier and cheaper to steward
  10. Rhodes and Mahoney played so how the mighty have fallen, can’t stand Mahoney the arrogant Little sod… a few decent cameos and he thought he was worth a lot more than he was
  11. Makes a lovely change from fraudbray chewing a wasp hands in pockets with no interaction and ends up sending his gk coach to give tactical talks and briefings
  12. Coukdnt of expect better given the circumstances. Looked assured at the back, many positives to take out of the game only negatives are the midfield was over run too easily so the forwards didn’t press enough for me and also outwide we gave them too much but dealt with it well none the less. strange that jdt didn’t use more than one sub but that’s possibly down to trying not to lose what we were doing as subs can cause that but thought the game late on was crying out for dack and maybe Markanday, we lacked that urgency when in a good position on the counter but maybe that was part of the plan. The forwards need to have more urgency and hunger to get into the box for a delivery as it looked frustrating fjr the full backs when they was in a good position to swing one in but runners when Gallagher especially should be front and centre… really don’t like him as a wideman kaminski - as assured and reliable as ever Brittain - not bad at all looked decent Ayala - as assured and solid as ever wharton - brilliant pickering - grew into the game not bad at all travis - did what Travis does best gallager - not his position looked lost and sluggish all game hedges - grew into it vardy useful player but by no means a best 11 starter BBD - did well had to come in and collect more than he should have but played well Vale - looked a lost child, the transition from pre season to the real thing he struggled with, shouldn’t have started, best from the bench Dolan - brilliant when he comes on always brings drive and energy we definitely need a couple midfielders an experienced CB and out and out striker
  13. Rather our bench be heavily populated with academy lads learning and developing in the job than journeymen shite and others academy players on loan
  14. Very satisfied with the Celtic game, very good work out, Celtic and rangers like the other year are a very good test for any championship or PL team, they are both between competitive championship and bottom half prem level do it was good ti get such a game in. Celtic complaining about us being too physical is brilliant cause it’s means we ain’t soft touch anymore like we’ve been since big Sam left, which has always been a problem, we let other teams over the years bully us and get the rub of the green when it comes to refs especially shithouse teams like Preston and Wigan who we’ve struggled against over the years so that’s a major positive. impressed with jdt so far, refreshing to see a man on the sidelines in action and engaging how a proper manager/coach should instead of the negative loser show we e had to put up with over the last 5 years cause even coyle had more enthusiasm but Mowbray and going back further bowyer we’re just depressing. a good coach adapts his ideas to the teams strengths and that’s what we are seeing from jdt, he knows whatever his ideal system is can’t be implemented with such a young squad lacking experience and depth so he’s trying to set a system that suits us best now into we get to the point when we have the team to do as he wants with good chance of success, so again all credit to the bloke cause if we still had the last miserable old dinosaur we would have been seeing Gallagher at centre back and Buckley upfront cause we all know that bloke with his square pegs round holes mentality would still anyone anywhere to try suit his system so it’s good to see jdt getting rid of that especially with the likes of Buckley and Gallagher who have been completely mismanaged up to jdt’s appointment
  15. We are in need of wing backs/full backs aswell as experience in CB, cover/depth in midfield and attackers
  16. Yous moaning about a friendly get a grip! All over social media moan moan moan, it’s about fitness and taking on board a new style of play and standards under a new head coach and it’s giving jdt and broughton an idea of what we need to recruit as they can’t just go signing anybody like a lot of inpatient shirt sites fans think they should. good to hear garret, little Wharton, Philips, vale and co seemed to have taken the chance to impress
  17. Judging by the squad we have this minute in my opinion this is the best team for us 4-2-3-1 kaminski JRC carter wharton pickering travis buckley dolan dack brereton gallagher subs: eastham, Ayala, Edun, Garrett, hedges ,Markanday, vale so as you can see as talented and young this team is we lack depth and experience in many departments, the bench especially lacks experience RB Experienced CB 1 or 2 CM, one being more defensive to back up and compete with Travis, and the other someone more creative like Buckley or who brings the ball out from deep like Rothwell even though dack can do that 1 or 2 wingers as currently we only have brereton, Markanday and Dolan for that and none of the academy lads for that position are ready yet and I especially don’t wanna see Gallagher there again A striker, we have Gallagher and brereton for that role but need someone who knows how to score who can maybe offer something different
  18. Newt wrong with that, how is that his fault ? Why should be pick his teams on the concerns of others who have only themselves to blame ? In fact if Mowbray hadn’t been such a loser by losing to a Barnsley team on the beach and drawing to a poor wolves team on the beach and had gone for it like he did when it was too little too late then we would have stayed up before the Brentford game, remember us winning at forest away on good Friday then going into Barnsley at home outside the bottom 3 perfect opportunity to go and win before playing another team on the beach but like we saw season just gone Mowbray didn’t have the motivation ability nor bottle to take the golden chances when they came hence why season just gone we lost out on the play offs by getting beat and drawing to sides we should have tubbed aka reading and peterbrough
  19. Couldn’t give a monkeys about brand of football all I care about is results, under Mowbray we’ve played dull football which was effective at times with the dack - graham link up but never got us anywhere, also we’ve played more attractive possession football or tried which had us dominating games but like Watford last season we ended up losing anyway, so my perspective from mowbrays tenure is brand of football dosent mstter aslong as it works and moves us forward. either way manager appointments all come with risks and doubts and eve therjes of why a manager failed or succeeded previously, like for example farke has a good reputation for his Norwich days but there are theories as to why he succeeded, like he inherited a strong team and resources anyway so so in d he driest it at a club that’s been outside the premiership for so long that we don’t have such a budget ? So again it’s a risk none the less but you get nowhere in football if you don’t, in football you’ll suffer and succeed from many risks, look no further than the likes of berg amd Appleton.., they came with obvious risks but also potential but it bit us very hard in the end and not just results wise but financially. When I say manager get appointed on last success look no further than lambert, either a miracle at Norwich and Keith villa out the shit for a bit but he didn’t live up to the hype but either way he was a positive appointment cause at the time he was a strong candidate in the eyes of fans and media but never worked out and hasn’t worked out for him At two other clubs since so maybe Norwich was just the right club for him ? I’m a lot of cases managers do well at one club but never the rest so sometimes it’s just a simple case of a manager just being suited to a team and club at the time, Coleman at Stanley, Holloway at blackpool, coyle at Burnley springs to mind. After all hughes never came here with golden experience and he was the best since dagleish even though he couldn’t get us over the line in terms of cups, always nearly men and asking ourselves what if. going off managers mentioned taking into account realistic options but also not dead rubbers these are my thoughts, in no particular order these managers I wouldn’t complain about ainsworth: remarkable job at Wycombe of course, Young, enthusiastic, full of Chrisms and passion would be in abundance esidciskjy him being a rovers man himself, on paper brand of football may have a few of the Sam allydyce haters complaining but saying that that’s on paper.. with the players he will have here he may step up to a better style but either way he’s a risk but a risk worth taking especially if he takes Wycombe up against a team managed by a man Mowbray couldn't outwit bar one occasion despite having superior resources farke: comes with a lambert feel, great job at Norwich but like I said above about managers like Holloway and coyle is he a one club wonder ? A good appointment goijg off his record none the less Houghton: reputation damaged a bit by forest but a strange one cause he did a solid job everywhere else, so despite copper picking up the peices and turning them into a serious team maybe it was the case of manager doesn't fit the team and club example ? Surely he didn’t just come a bad manager overnight after having a good do at Brighton ? Would be a positive appointment anyway based off his record but not one to be really excited about not disheartened carrick: an intelligent well respected man and coach in football but no experience, on osier he’s better off taking a lower league job and making his way up, Salford would be a good un for him but wouldn’t be a disaster but if we was to get him in I would prefer it with him as head coach under a DOF to input some experience and deal with the grooling side of the trade while carrick focuses on the football Carlos carvalho: great job at Wednesday and braga will bring something we’ve never had would be a great appointment Liam manning: like ainsworth comes with risks, a good young manager playing good football but unable to outwit ainsworth despite better players and hasn’t got a l1 promotion on his cv like Gareth either and doesn't remain price. Enough to be at the top of the shortlist he’s one to be monitored over time, a long term forward thinking appointment but like lowe at Preston I wager could come at short term costs rooney: great job at derby under terrible circumstances but that’s without pressure how would he cope at a club trying to move forward ? Would come with respect and contacts but could go very sour but a risk maybe worth taking if other desired candidates don’t come off Nathan jones: not a great character when your against him but I’ve no doubt you love him if he’s on your team, should he not work a miracle with Luton he would certainly be worth a go but doesn’t meet the clubs criteria of wanting a manager with little or no compensation unless he resigns but even then I doubt he will cost that much. Despite the league being at a crap standard this year especially cause of the failings of the likes of Mowbray and wilder with much superior squads and budget jones has worked a miracle like Barnsley last year.. but yet could be an example of manager suits club but his passion and never say die mentality has ti be admired. A positive risk in my opinion I may have forgot a few but I can’t be arsed taking anymore time to think and type 😉
  20. Lambert turned out shit hence why he failed at wolves and Ipswich just came to us living off his Norwich rep
