  1. Think people are looking into negatives too much, I'm a big critic when we are shit but insane little negatives yesterday, the oerfoakce was as good as it gets fjr a first friendly. Johnson and Evans are break up players you cant have them on the pitch at the same time in a real game unless your trying to see out a win late on, I expect that both of them will depart at the end if the season with Bennett and mulgrew If not ready gone which frees up a lot of big wages, so travis and Davenport are the future, defensive mids they are classed as but have more to offer in attack than Evan's and johnson, travis is your typical ball winner Davenport a typical defensive mid that links defence to attack, all we lack Is a box to box and that's why we are interested in whiteman or whatever his name is at Doncaster, playing a midfield 3 we need that sort of player who can take the ball off the defence and start an attack. Gallagher is coming good at the back end of last season he was starting to score goals and play well I've always had faith in him as he proved himself under a very bad owen Coyle team so I've every confidence he will be an asset this season onwards asking as hes used properly, he's been harshly criticised when he's been out of position. Brereton has what it takes I can see that but lacks confidence, mowbray may have to swallow his pride and send him on loan to league 1 so he can score goals and gain his confidence, but again he's not been helped and harshly criticised while playing out of position. Fact is galley and brereton are strikers not wingers, mowbray needs to stood messing with these players if you need wingers then recruit but atm we dont we have Armstrong, Chapman, Dolan, rothwell, costello as options, look how much better we was going forward when we had two pacey wingers on ? My choice would be Armstrong down the left and Costello on the right in his key position but I've a feeling mowbray is gonna out him at left back if he dosnt get a new one in which will be wasted as he's a very talented attacking winger who proved he can do the defensive work when at left back last season so the left back won't be exposed, Chapman used as an impact sub while fighting to earn a first 11 spot aslong as he gets his head down and grafts cause this is his last chance of a decent career otherwise if he does what he did last season and sulcked instead of rolling up his sleeves and proving his worth he will be another on a long list of talented players who end up in the lower leagues and fading. Dolan is a brilliant talent everything you want in a winger, normally even in friendlies young lads are hesitant and too nervy to have a pop at these big experienced lads but he was direct and quick and was eager to prove what he can do and looked to Express himself, he will be an asset for us no doubt soon, play him in cup games for now and as back up but needs to play with the 23s for most parts as we don't just wanna throw him in yet, best to ease him in. In terms of defence lenihan, wharton, William's, carter and a new one will be our options but what we should see and are likely to see is carter and magloire loaned out so lenihan and a new defender as regular starters, Wharton 3rd choice competing for a place, Williams who's injury prone anyway and will leave at the end of the season will be left out most of the time must waiting for injuries and suspensions to get games
  2. Cause they dont have an under 23s so anybody not ready for first team they release cause they dont wanna gamble on a pro deal they are tinpot
  3. Impressed with Eastham and Dolan, eastham looks confident and commanding good distribution and dolan quick and skillfull a great recruit which is Preston's loss haha serves them right for being tinpot and having a shite academy system meaning they dont have a 23s team so they have to release players who ain't seen as first team material
  4. Guys let's not be too judgemental it's our first friendly back
  5. The club needs to demand it otherw7se umbro will gove us shit, umbro today isn't the same as it was before, since Mike bought them the quality and effort into designs has gone down
  6. End of the day its us fans who pay 100 pound per person a season fir the home and away kits so why do the club not listen to what we want ? How long have we been calling for red and black halves ? Remember the last time we had it in 07/08 they released it with the home kit and they flew out the shop, 08/09 and 16/17 navy kits are the only times since I've seen the sway kit so popular, plus the red and black tends to be good luck for us specially the stripes every season we have it we have had a really good season
  7. Aye! Sick of these crappy away colours that have no history or tradition behind them, we are a traditional club, ared and black halves one season then stripes the next would sell immensely, they can alternate between them and navy blue and yellow our other great away colours, it isn't difficult so somebody at the club is lacking initiative, it took the fans to point out on twitter last season that we needed a 3rd cause the thick fucks didnt realise grey clashes with white
  8. It's a joke that there is no communication to fans ither clubs selling season tickets and shirts yet we ain't, releasing the home and away kits would be nice income but as usual we are late and who's fault is it ? Is it someone at ewoods ? Chosen the kits two years in advance had extra time too wit the pandemic yet less than a month until the first game and still not even announced, it's a disgrace
  9. So as usual rivers are unorganised and late on dates, the club chooses its kits two years in advance so they should have been ready for July let alone now, so we have our first friendly in 6 days time and it looks like we will be in last seasons kit, 10 bet have now pulled the plug on sponsoring us so we are now without a sponsor which I dont blame anybody for cause aoosrentky a lot of sponsors are struggling to pay their fees no thanks to covid. But back to the subject why is it every bloody season we cant get our kit out at a good time ? Surely releasing it asap would provide much needed revenue? Not even staff know the release date it's pathetic and unproffesional, Last year says it all for me the club stupidly picked a grey and green shirt to start with then was gonna leave it at that until the fans had to Express on social media that it clashes with every team in white so they rushed to umbro and said we need a 3rd asap so we ended up with a limited edition shirt, so that summed up how organised this club is that not one of them after all that time of knowing the away colours realised that we needed a 3rd as grey clashes with white, cause there was definitely no plans of a 3rd until fans raised concerns cause both umbro and rovers confirmed on twitter there wasn't gonna be one. One year left on our umbro contract and I hope we do away with them and other mainstream overrated manufacturers and go with someone like hummel or macron who design better kits anyway rather than throw us a catalogue and say pick one mentality
  10. Exactly why would I spunk away hundreds pounds more to watch the same crap with the same results and to be miserable most of the time, no way
  11. Huddersfield where on their ass until he turned it around
  12. I will not be renewing my season ticket while things stay the same, i can no longer commit to pissing away hundreds a season on absolute crap like this season, square pegs and round holes as people say, last night summed up mowbray, when we are losing and the players are in need of leadership and inspiration what does he do ? Sit on his arse sulking on the back row rather than rallying his troops, neil warnock would have been bouncing round last night, we are in need of a manager with fresh ideas and serious passion, mowbray is boring as hell, talks a good game but delivers crap We are losing so takes of two of our biggest threats and brings on our worst player, I cannot stomach it anymore it's too frustrating and wagging is too pally and not ruthless enough to say enough is enough. Delusional mowbrayites will make excuses all day long and it will only be the same next season if not worse, o cant even be bothered typing all the things wrong with mowbray. Change is needed or season tickets will be down, there is nothing for the fans to actually buy into unless your gullible enough to believe in mowbrays bollocks, not wasting my money anymore on mowbrays dull, uninspiring, predictable shite, another season if centre forwards out wide, no fixed system that suits the team just tinkering every week with 50 different formations. the cowley brothers would be ideal candidates, respected highly, new ideas, passionate and active on the touchline Unless you acknowledge this crap and and show some ambition you can shove your season ticket up your ass Mr waggot
  13. Typical rovers go a goal up have them against the wall then concede a shitty goal so we then start feeling sorry for ourselves, luton are garbage, a typical power league clogger team only a threat in the air we cannot lose to them again
  14. Luton got extremely lucky at ewood, rovers dominated, luton time wasted from the off got 2 lucky goals against the run of play, did anything to con the ref and wasnt we disallowed a clear goal too which the ref was gonna give until their players pressured him and the liner ? Reminded me of the Charlton game, inability to break down two poor sides here for the taking, lick being with them and against us
  15. You cant be serious? We was relegated over 46 games not 1, we were perfectly within our rights to play whatever team we want its not our problem those teams are down there soecismky when we wan a look at our academy graduates for next season
  16. Completely agree! But mowbray extending contracts for the deadwood who haven't played until after the Luton game sums up how he dosnt have the intelligence to do as you've suggested
  17. I'm the same, no point anymore, just the same old
  18. Well said, bennett contributes newt, just a brown noser who gets picked for being that just like Lowe, no quality just running round like a headless chicken Goes to show borebrays weak management, he renewed them contracts for players who are leaving until after the luton game why ? They ain't playing they know they ain't gonna be here so why would they care anyway? Just a waste of a wage Bennett needs to be moved on straight away and I doubt he ain't one of the highest payed players, would rather give a youth player a chance who had something to prove and will bring something to the table than him, smallwood and co, I've always said I would rather the bench be filled with upcoming stars than crap deadwood journeyman Bennett can't head, pass, cross or shoot he's utter garbage
  19. 3g ? What outside ? Wasnt we supposed to be sticking a 3g pitch on the Darwen end car park? As part of the indoor centre developments What happened to that ?
  20. My ideal developments would be Riverside: new 3.5k stand brought to the pitch similar to preston and west Brom, disabled facility's and large function facility's that can be turned to hospitality on matchdays, blue and white seats in all 4 stands taking out seats to accommodate more leg room as suggested above Museum and cafe: club museum open matchdays 5 hours prior to kick off and for tours showing off our history with trophy room, dosnt all have to be about the first team too, can show our academy history showing an academy hall of fame of the likes of duff, dunn, jones going onto bigger things plus ladies history. The cafe inside the museum serving hot and cold food and drinks ( no alcohol), arcade and play area for kids too to attract families, season ticket holders free otherwise 1 pound entry which goes to running costs, pictures taken with trophies, we get fans from all over the world who come once in a blue moon so how good would it be if they could have their pics taken with the prem and league cup ? And maybe with a bit of luck in the future the fa cup Blues bar: being a bar only like any normal pub, free for season ticket holders, the 1 pound entry puts off a lot of folk specially after 1 where you cant get a seat Club shop: there is a few options, (1) knock it down and rebuild making it bigger and easier to store all sorts if decent stock that will sell unlike the shite in there now, could even push it back onto the car park making room for other things like the fan zone (2) move it into the stadium, dont know exactly where but putting it in a new stadium will be too far out the way so needs to be kept near the roads (3) build it inbetween the riverside and blackburn end with a window at the back looking into the stadium
  21. Agreed, tbh to tidy the stadium up a bit the seats should be changed to blue n white so it's an excuse to take the seats out and reduce the rows for more leg room
  22. Aye bang on mate! I've been calling for a museum and cafe inside a new stand for a few years just atm the club lacks the big forward thinking needed for it, the museum could be used for ground tours aswell
