  1. I might well be his biggest critic but well done tonight Tony. All we can ask of him is that he keeps that same 11 for Saturday. Don't change anything until we start losing or due to injuries. A Joe Rothwell that scores goals could easily be a Premier League player. Armstrong had his best game of the season. Evans must have had his Irish shirt on underneath. Defence worked as a unit led by the inspirational Lenihan. Loved every minute of that performance. When January comes I genuinely believe we are only a keeper, a centre half and a left back away from a quality team. Don't piss about with this formula now please Tony. It works!!
  2. If we go behind in this match I expect a huge anti Mowbray end to the game.
  3. I reckon he's let DJ pick the team tonight! Can't believe there's no Bennett or Gallagher. I guess if we lose with this starting 11 then he can walk away and say he tried everything.
  4. "Right lads, let's stick to keeping it on the deck tonight. Arma you're up front on your own and we have Gallagher on the wing if we want to hit high balls into the corner flag. Stewy I think you're a bit old for this game so we are going to try Richie out left. He hasn't played all season but he's one of my warriors from League 1. Ryan, I get the feeling you and Joe aren't very well so that's what I'll tell people when I don't name you in the squad. Benno you are the driving force and the voice in the dressing room, I expect at least 14 fist pumps before we go out on to the pitch, once I see them you can have the armband. DG your legs are looking tired so once we are 3 down I'll bring you on. If you lot hear the fans getting on my back don't worry, they just don't understand that I am from the North East and miss my family." Let's play for a draw to start with, they are a very technical team, who possess a lot of pace, but don't worry we have Christian in goal and he's nearly settled in to his new house so we'll start to see the best of him soon."
  5. I agree with everything you said. I never want us to lose, but if we are looking at the bigger picture and the future of our club then defeat might turn out to be the best result.
  6. I just can't see it. Brentford on their day will hammer us. We can't cope with fast flowing football against us. Plus they have a quality and inform keeper. Defeat will be enough for Christmas to start early in Mowbray household. He'll have himself a nice, well deserved break back up in the North East, clinging on to the hope Woodgate gets the chop at his beloved Boro.
  7. I have a feeling Raya will have an absolute stormer tonight and show everyone why Mowbray was wrong to sell him. It's a game where I can't see us getting anything from and will probably see the end (thank god) of Tony Mowbray. You lot shouldn't be happy with a draw as we have been piss poor all season. We have players playing out of position all over the field and look clueless as far as tactics go. I predict a 3-0 Brentford win. Enjoy the game if you are going.
  8. Johnson is Irish, that'll probably be seen as a young foreign manager in the eyes of those that make the decisions.
  9. Champagne is on ice! Glasses in the fridge chilling! I can't see any other result other than a defeat tonight, which I would imagine will see Tony walk.
  10. Good morning to everyone, and Happy Last Mowbray Day to you all too.
  11. What happens when we run around like headless chickens, neither parking the bus, as we'd only crash it nor trying to play football as we have Midfielders in defence, strikers on the wing and wingers up front!! Then add a manager wandering up and down with his hands in his pockets, looking at Mark Penus for inspiration!
