i put our new approach down to mowbray handing venus the team shape duties,the performances so far have been far removed from tony`s possesion based approach,venus tactics are more direct,you can see the difference,did`nt danny graham on his podcast say they had vastly different approaches to the game

i remember one monday night game at west brom and the west midlands police made the coach park about 2 miles from the bloody ground,bearing in mind this was a monday night with 1 barely full coach they made a great scene of escorting us to the hawthorns,they even made one poor chap,who was nothing to do with us,think he was going to the shop,walk along with us,despite his accent and protestations that he was a walsall fan it cut no ice with them and after one to many laments,he was bundled into the back of a police van!!!!!!,still shouting "im`e a bloody walsall fan"

he was excellent against forest and has started the season playing further up the pitch which is better for him,don`t see the logic selling a player who`s struggled for 3 seasons and now we are getting a tune out of him we get rid,i don`t think he`ll bring that much in either

ffs tony,it`s not the 1980`s when you could get through the season with 14 senior pro`s,the games moved on,get some bodies in or we be in serious **** when the injuries kick in

observing the players last night it`s clear to me that venus and his more direct approach is now doing the team shape,maybe tony has handed him the job because so far this season it`s entirely different from the mowbray teams of the last three seasons,if it works then great,dispose the tappy tappy **** into history i watched the lads warming up and noticed the coach lowe(the one who looks foppish) does`nt appear to be popular, the players ignored him and only reluctantly joined in his drills after he blew his whistle about a dozens times,even then it was a few half hearted dribbles and shots,the legendary ben benson however,appears very close to his goalkeepers who were very keen to listen to him and were quick to take up his warm up instructions

ollie watkins started at exeter,im`e sure if we bothered to do scouting and look we could find someone like him,it appears the scouting system at rovers is now non existant,we always used to have good contacts in the south and in ireland

pne fans going apoplectic over their manager,chairman,owner and the players,even the talismanic ben whiteman is getting a slating over on their message board,most of then reckon relegation is a certainty🤣

going into autumn/winter with a miniscule squad like ours is basically just a suicide note in the footballing sense,when injuries and fatigue kick in tony will be dipping into the academy players,god help us if we get a real injury crisis which do happen

tony been waffling about knocks and injuries so i suspect it will be a defensive set up tommorow night,carter should start after his impressive performance against millwall,if he can stand up those lot he should be a regular starter imo,it`s never ever going to happen but id`e pair him with ayala and put lenihan in as a holding midfielder,he is a midfielder by trade

cos he`s strange,lazy,incompetent and a shit manager with an even worse adminstration behind him

they arn`t going to get what they got in the premier league obviously,if their demands are to high then fair enough,no harm in inviting them for a trial,training and tentative enquiry,it`s how normal clubs work,we`ve got to get some experience in the side,going into the autumn and winter with young lads and not much back up means the inevitable will happen im`e afraid

i`ve just had a look at the players list who without a club and are free agents,connor wickham,scott dann,jacob butterfield,daniel sturridge to name but a few,all without a club with the season under way,anyone of those could be picked up and they`de be grateful of another seasons football,capable and experienced pro`s as well,ffs we are blackburn rovers not rochdale,maybe the biggest point of contention could be they ar`nt with the right agent,that would be more like the rovers we have become

tony never heard of the free transfer market??got to be some experienced players out there who will do a job to get us through this season,they don`t all require 4 year contracts despite what mowbray spouts,though if you come from middlesborough and are a friend of the family you can specify your own contract

there`s no outball if you have a tiny centre forward like dolan ,the ball comes right back at you because he`s unable to hold it up and im`e convinced mowbray views playing big men wide and one smaller one in the middle as revolutionary,he won`t give it up because he sees himself as tactical maverick/genius,in reality though he`s a complete fool because only a fool keeps trying the same thing that fails every week in the hope that it will eventually succeed
