  1. the better the manager the more ruthless he`ll be,especially when it comes to getting rid of players that ar`nt up to it,how long do you think bennett would last with an ambitious manager, you should`nt be keeping players in the squad who are popular but not performing on the pitch, ffs i despair sometimes
  2. 1-only tony can answer that one 2-not many that i can remember 3-a big fat zero 4-he can`t defend and gives penalties and dangerous free kicks away,so none if i looked at the championship released list i could pick 5 or 6 free transfers that would offer more than captain marvel, though mowbray seems to have an absolute, undiluted love for him,so what can we do,the only good attribute about bennett is he`s a good crosser of the ball, not that he gets up the pitch to use it
  3. great photo, never ever seen the blackburn end without it`s roof, when was it erected??
  4. at brightons first training session next week, the coaching staff are going to watch walton and say "my god, what have those lot up north done to him☺️"
  5. a proper centre forward who could hold the ball up well and a good finisher, the much vaunted european scouting system should be looking around everywhere for a natural replacement, not sure if we have an british scouting system, maybe it`s been cancelled because it came up with brereton?
  6. rovers had far better players and a manager who let them express themselves, the souness era had us playing some fantastic stuff, till he lost the plot and started to fall out with everybody and anybody, souness is the type of bloke who`d kick the monopoly board across the room if he landed on mayfair with a hotel on it
  7. iv`e seen some bad keepers, butcher and fettis at rovers, couple of spurs post pat jennings keepers who were shocking, alan mcknight was terrible, walton though definately the worst i`ve ever seen
  8. hopefully this close season it`ll be goalkeepers are coming?
  9. Lee Bowyer is another I'd take ahead of Mowbray. there would`nt be any automatic picks with him in charge, everybody would have to justify their place
  10. considering we bottled every chance we had of getting into the play offs,im`e pretty ***** off tbh
  11. mowbray is`nt going anywhere unless he decides to retire and arrange a pay off
  12. if you can`t beat basket case teams like wigan, barnsley, luton and charlton, home and away then clearly the play offs are a million miles away
  13. he`s a likeable fellow is mowbray,just his tactics that i don`t like
  14. predictable to a predictable season with a fucking predictable manager who plays predicatable football, must be the weediest rovers side, mentally and physically iv`e ever seen
  15. well the promise burnt bright for a moment?
  16. how is big ben doing, got the darts on at the moment
  17. exactly, nobody knows what they are doing or what their job is
  18. barnsley need to bag another to send the big club down, cmon the tykes?
  19. tony will sort him out,be in the centre of defence by october,if it`s true, which i doubt
  20. unless the whole mentality of the club changes,i.e new players and fresh ideas from the staff you are right, does`nt look like happening anytime soon
  21. better off with a 70 year old jim arnold in the goals!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. got to wonder why walton is playing, for someone who`s supposedly on his way back to brighton he`s kept his place, though myself im`e not sure he will,it would be no surprise if we ended up with him for another season, tony could`nt find another keeper if one landed on him and talking brighton into another loan is the easy way out,i for one will not be happy if the above happens,to me he`s bloody useless and won`t improve with the master coach ben benson guiding him
  23. was a great cross from chapman, when i played full back the worst opponent was a genuine quick wide player who tried to turn you round or beat you to get his cross in,it used to end up with me getting booked or sent off(hence i was never much use!!!)i could handle the clumsy big oafs that used to play there no problem,it must run true in the pro game as well,a full backs worst nightmare is someone running at him and getting crosses in
  24. i remember kevin hird from when my dad first started taking me to the footy,he used to fly up and down the wing, did`nt he go to leeds for big money??and then obviously an ignominious end to his career when he finished off playing for the dingles
  25. mate, you don`t get down to ewood much then!!!!!!!!????
