  1. very true, tony would make a terrible joiner,he`d be trying to fit doors and windows upside down and sideways!!!!!!!
  2. that right side is very weak,if cocu, the derby manager has done his homework then it could be a long afternoon, anyone running at bennett is guaranteed a free kick or worse,on the positive side,it looks a good line up going forward
  3. worrying to not have a centre back on the bench imo
  4. please don`t put brereton or gallagher out wide tony, please
  5. i`ll go for a ridicoulously random robbie slater then !!!!!!!!!!
  6. im`e expecting a typically uneventful sunday afternoon game and a late armstrong goal for us?
  7. i`ll go for a tentative answer in henning berg
  8. we either win tommorow or forget the play offs and start building for next season, simple as that
  9. if we don`t make the play offs then i desperately hope north end mess it up and don`t as well
  10. sorry,i duly apologise and will sentence myself to watching the dingles on tv bore me to distraction tonight
  11. seems his new mantra is to foul every single player of the opposition,he was litterally having a hack at anybody on thursday night,he`s going to clash with travis or johnson at some point as he plays deeper these days?
  12. well thank goodness you ar`nt giving the team talk on sunday?
  13. because they distinctly average with nothing to play for and got given the runaround on thursday night
  14. derby are there for the taking imo, anything less than 3 points at this stage of the season is not cutting it
  15. used to adore gabriel batistuta, what a player, always liked fiorentina after watching him,he stayed loyal to them for years, even after they got relegated
  16. kevin moran was another great signing and a proper defender,he`s up in the keeley, faz, hendry and short list for one of our all time best centre backs
  17. the champions league has always annoyed me ever since they started the pointless group stages,it should be for the league champions only,**** all the money making pointless games, managers babble on about to much football, well then stop playing pointless euro games that are invariably rubbish the competition does`nt even get remotely interesting until the knock out stages
  18. big respect to don for giving us 3 season of cracking football and a great day at wembley, sellars roasting full backs, gayle geeing up the blackburn end, reidy bossing midfield, moran stopping everyone literally and garner smashing hattricks in against man city, fate and a blind referee stopped him getting us into the top flight(i still get miserable when i think of that palace game),some say the 80`s were barren years for rovers, not to me,they were seasons where we played good football in a club that belonged to the community, rovers was always a homely club
  19. tony really does`nt like genuine wingers does he,maybe he sees them as undisciplined and a bit renegade, they do however offer you width and the ability to get to the byeline, all he needs to say to chapman and whoever is on the the other side is "if you don`t track back and help out the fullback,i`ll kick your a**e up and down brockhall" pretty sure they`de get the message, mowbray was well hard in his playing days, bet he`s still well handy in a fight or dishing out a rollicking
  20. why would you play johnson in defence, are you taking mind altering substances
  21. fair play to him,he actually looked a handful today, the first time i`ve ever seen him in that disguise,i think he deserves a starting place for a few games, armstrong on wednesday and today looked a bit laboured, give him a rest and give ben the beast an airing!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. unlikely but im`e hoping next season will be the one where we go for it,providing we keep hold of our best players and add 3 or 4 more that is,not a certainty with this regime
  23. frustrating in the fact we could have been in the play off places but at least we are still in the running, knowing rovers we`ll probably get 6 points from two difficult away games?brereton looked a completely different player to the one we`ve all been despairing about,he actually looked very handy indeed
  24. on the subject of sam, lets not pretend he`s ever going to be a star, but we ar`nt using him like we should, mix the play up and stick the occasional long ball up to him, same with set pieces, try to get him on the end of them,of course this is all conjecture, the poor bloke is mostly stuck out wide or up front on his own, look at the size of him,he should be terrorising centre backs not receiving tippy tappy passes that end up nowhere because his first touch is`nt good
