? Very good mate, but a little too subtle. I normally pick up on things like that but I missed that one completely!

Perhaps put a inverted commas around 'Conference' & 'Pears' to help those of us out who aren't quite up to speed. ?

I deleted the explanation. I feel like van Gogh before he cut his ear off. ?

But...the BILLIONAIRE owners asked players to take a 12.5% pay cut to help to protect the future of the club & those employed by the club. Özil apparently refused to accept this because he wasn’t convinced as to the owners’ motives. Subsequently, once the majority of the players accept the cut; the BILLIONAIRE owners made 55 people redundant anyhow, despite the salary sacrifices of the players.

In the meantime, Özil uses a large chunk of his salary to make his own charitable donations so as to ensure the money goes where he wants it to....as he doesn’t trust the owners.

I guess I’m saying, I’m not so sure that Özil is entirely the bad guy here....

He definitely isn't the bad guy, he didn't draw up his own contract. It's what he represents that is the issue - a game completely out of touch with reality.... and it's fanbase.

    Ipswich linked with DG: https://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/sport/ipswich-town/ipswich-town-transfer-target-danny-graham-1-6784119

Not a surprise considering Lambert is still there and obviously he was the one who initially brought Graham here. He'd be a great signing for them but not sure how the recent salary cap introduction may affect what they can offer him in terms of wages.

The SC is only being introduced slowly. I think that any players already at clubs who are on big wages will be classed as being on 1.6k or thereabouts (the L1 average) until their contract runs out. Norwood, who is on £9k a week will be classed as on £1.6k. That leaves money in Ipswich's budget apparently which is why they are being linked with some big earners.

Yes, but his contract ran down here....I'd be very surprised if we had any leverage for this, seeing as it went to a tribunal.

In fact, I'm certain there will be no clause....why would Bournemouth agree to that for an out of contract player....?

If it went to a Trib then Bournemouth wouldn't have a choice I presume.

Not played a game for Leicester and has been loaned to Rotherham and Oldham but yeah an “expensive loan” to Rovers.

Another novice with potential to cut his teeth at Rovers while learning his trade from a laptop.

If we aren’t going to get an experienced first choice keeper the we may as well give Fisher and Hilton the job of one and two, and promote Eastham to U23 keeper.

This Summer is the opportunity for an overhaul. That has to start with the gk coach and bringing in a seasoned stopper. I’d sooner give the loan fee money to Joe Hart for a season than on a 23yo - at least he will be able to share his experience with the youngsters. Instead Mowbray will prefer a novice. Unless you get extremely lucky (I.e. promotion) loaning someone else’s 23yo keeper is absolutely no use at all. If he’s good he goes back and we start again. If he’s bad then we suffer, not his parent club.

I'm with ya, we do need our own keeper and preferably someone with experience. Joe Hart seems a bit past it though.
