Swansea have also bought a young striker from PSV and Middlesbrough have signed Sammy Ameobi, Uche Ikpeazu and Lee Peltier.

Here at Ewood, some dont even feel that we deserve to know the situation regarding our transfer embargo.

    I thought Peltier had retired!

They are all typical Warnock signings ... experienced campaigners.

True enough about the embargo. They've got to put the shelves up In Roverstore before they sign anyone. Baby steps.

Why ? Imagine we are in breach of FFP rules - having that confirmed to potential buyers of Armstrong won't exactly strengthen our position.

Eh? it's not like the training ground fiasco, if it's confirmed we're in a FFP-related embargo then Waggott won't be able to keep it a secret. And everybody already knows it's a possibility because it's been all over the press.

And the original poster was right, the lack of communication since the original statement back in March/April isn't really good enough.

  3. Nickoteen: Is he an upcoming kid signed to one of the top clubs, Al?

Al: Best if they’re left to get on with it … once it gets done then it’s another story

Nickoteen: What do u rate this player out of 10? Would it be a coup?

    Al: Lad could be anything

Nickoteen: Is it Ryan Gauld Al?

    Al: No

    It's Ryan Gauld.

He also says he wasn’t fit and, when he did come on, wasn’t good enough. Call me old-fashioned, but those are two fairly reasonable reasons for not giving a player starts at the time.

He's clearly been brainwashed by the mind-altering micro-chip imbedding programme they're running out of Brockhall. It's in the vaccine.

  5. New Blackburn Rovers deal doesn't dampen transfer interest in winger | Lancashire Telegraph

Sounds like Rovers are trying to make sure they get money for him if they do sell this summer. No compo if he went to a club in Scotland. Looks like he still may be sold this summer. Or is it all a big conspiracy😉

Anyway, wise words from Chappers. Sounds like he's got his head screwed on with the right attitude.

Not just posts since he signed a contract, the many posts before when it was unclear if we were getting rid or signing another contract, folk always have conspiracies, in everything that happens at Ewood..

The 'conspiracies' came about because the club didn't have a clue if he had a one year extension or not. Not sure you can blame the good folk of BRFCS for that. Unless you're a conspiracy theorist?

All rather underwhelming. The further embargo would be of no surprise really, continued incompetence.

The Chapman signing makes little sense and maybe @Miller11 hits the nail on the head that it is out of necessity due to the embargo?

Either way, he obviously has talent but he quite clearly isnt fancied by Mowbray so is there any point?

Reach has always come across as a highlights player, capable of occasional brilliance but usually does little. Obvious talent in there but also a lazy signing for Mowbray who has a European scouting network specifically in Teeside. Safe to say that Sheffield Wednesday fans wouldnt recommend him:

Whereas Leeds fans said Douglas was amazing. Never trust an opposition fan view.

It’s hard to follow evolving plot lines on here, given that losing him was a bad thing and now signing him is a bad thing, but, given any player with an ounce of potential would do anything to get away from the Moggasaurus, I’m unclear if this means that Chapman is a gifted player who can’t wait to blossom under ANO Manager or, in fact, a brainless oaf, unwanted by other clubs, who couldn’t give a shit about his career other than making a few more quid?

    My perspective:-

    Losing him - bad.

    New deal - good

    Facts:-

He did blossom under ANO manager.

Mowbray only ever gave him one league start so didn't give him a proper chance to establish himself.

Newspaper Reports stated Shrewsbury did want to re-sign him

    Speculation:

He's a brainless oaf only here for the money

  9. Reach was a very good Championship player at one time. Good crosser of ball back in the days when left footers played on the left.  Still only 28 so deffo worth signing if his wages are reasonable.

26 yo Mullin appears a very odd link considering he's never played higher than Div4 and last season was the only time he's ever scored any goals really. Couldn't even get in the Tranmere side a couple of seasons ago. But who knows....turned down a good contract at CUFC so he's obviously off somewhere decent.

Sharpe suggesting meeting P&S obligations not a given. Out of one embargo and into another one potentially!

I just saw this.  Let me see....

So the reporter at Ewood park is just relaying basic info on Rovers to the people in the studio (and wider audience), they ask about the BB shirt he is holding, was there a store, how much was it (size XXXL, only one left in store at UK$70 BB Rovers shirts have all sold out).  He points to the Rovers emblem and explains the importance of the red rose.

Beginning min 16:10..."Rovers was the champion of the Premiere League, something very few small clubs have done.  This is a very small club.  The 'clasico'/derby for Rovers is with Burnley, which is the neighboring city.  They hate each other to the death, I was told by the Rovers press chief [a little chuckle from the studio].  Burnley is in the Premiere, Blackburn is in the Championship, therefore they're down below.  They're struggling.  It's true, they're struggling a lot."  He then goes on to relay his attempts to obtain the sold out Brereton shirt with his face on the Chile flag and was given the only shirt they had left which is 5 sizes too big and he'll find someone to gift it to.

    Thanks for the reply.

    A couple of clarifications.

Burnley is not a city. It is a shithole from medieval times.

    Rovers are a big club.

    There's a shock.

Maybe, after hearing of Real Madrid's interest, Leeds have pulled out to save face because they know they can't compete.
