  1. Blackburn Rovers transfer embargo, how it impacts recruitment and potential ramifications - LancsLive

Blackburn Rovers: Transfers, embargo and Adam Armstrong latest | Lancashire Telegraph

Reading the above articles on the embargo recently I'm none the wiser. Maybe because I'm a bit thick, or because the articles aren't clear. So, 3 questions now that the transfer window is open-

    1) What type of embargo are we currently under and how does that impact the type* of players we can currently sign?

    2) What type of  embargo will we be under if we don't file the accounts by the 30/6 deadline, and how will that further impact the type of players we can sign?

    3) What type of embargo will be under if we do file our accounts by 30/6, but we have not met our FFP/P&S obligations? Again, how will that impact the type of players we can sign?

*by 'type' I mean frees, loans, transfer fees etc

TBH- I think people are just using it as an excuse to be overly dramatic, as it’s a scary word.

It's the journalists reporting it as an embargo, national and local. Not sure there's much chance of Sharpe being overly dramatic. We'll be in in the Conference North before he sticks his head above the parapet and criticises the club.

I have doubts about how true this was. If I remember correctly it was someone on here saying a player told them. For all the ITK stuff floated about Mowbray being a cert to be out the door , I think you need to take a lot of that stuff with a shovel full of salt

'Put an offer in' - Manager reveals West Brom transfer approach - Birmingham Live (birminghammail.co.uk)

Me and Darren (Moore) at West Brom put an offer in for Dack, so we recognised his qualities,” Jones told the Luton Today.

“There are very few with that natural ability who plays the 10 as well as he does.”

Later, Claudio Bravo conveys to Isla that social media is requesting Brereton be taught some Chilean curse words.  The video ends with Brereton saying "Hola Chile" and "Chilenos culiaos" (literally "bum fucked chileans" or "fucking chileans!") and Isla exclaiming about BB "...This guy is so lovely!"

And how did that go down?

Chileans have taken to & latched on to BB in large part because the ship that is chilean international football has been steadily sinking into mediocrity since 2015.  Chile failed to qualify for the 2018 WC by the thinnest of margins.  Chile's stars of its so-called "golden generation" no longer shine.  There is no new blood or truly talented young players.  The fillers aiding Alexis Sánchez in attack have sucked.  And along comes this giant piece of stiff English wood.  So Chileans have clung to it as you would to avoid drowning.

I think chileans have gone off the rails and over inflated BB's potential, which is unfair to him.  They dont know how mediocre he's been in the Championship and have pinned too many of their hopes on this shiney new object but such is the desperation of the chilean fan.  Which is why chile's uruguayan coach Lasarte has attempted to temper expectations and warned fans BB still has a long learning curve in front of him.

Has there been any mention in regards to kick off times next season? Not entirely season ticket related but would sway my decision. 6pm kick offs would be an absolute no chance after work, I struggle to make 7:45pm ones. Assuming 6pm will be binned off IF covid clears up a bit?

Rumour has it that Waggott is pushing hard for a midnight KO to cash in on the lucrative Chilean prime-time market. It was apparently first suggested by the Fans Forum.

Always remember the bloke on the fans forum who told Waggot that they should make the prices higher and market it as "buy before 12pm on match day to get £3 off"

So I reckon they have done that, surely they can't be sticking an extra £3 on those prices if someone decides to go on the day.

Is that a different guy on the FF to the one who said we should sell the training ground and build one in BwD?

I think we should move the FF to Burnley.

    - Reducing the YA bracket from 25 to 23
    - Offering no pro-rata credit for YA season ticket holders in 2020/21
    - Choosing to not include 20/21 YA ST holders in the clubs mosaic plans

'To thank and reward supporters for their unwavering loyalty, adult and senior supporters who bought a Season Pass in 2020-21 will also receive a complimentary place on our new Supporter Mosaic, which will be situated at Ewood Park to commemorate their superb support in the club's time of need. Further details to follow'

Rovers welcome you 'Back To Live'! | rovers.co.uk

I didn't realise Waggott & Co had stooped that low. It's bad enough having such a divisive plan in the first place (can I be on it for supporting the club in the 80's when there were only 5k of us and the club was on it's arse?) but to leave out a whole group of fans based on age is blatantly discriminatory. I really hope that isn't what is happening here?

And I also didn't realise they'd also dropped the age for the YA category. I keep hearing we have billionaire owners, why would they be arsed about a couple of hundred quid off 24 and 25 years olds?

And then there's the pro-rata age discrimination.

What a disgusting football club BRFC has become.

It’s not your money. Or mine. And it wasn’t out of our budget for that season. It was the owners, taking a gamble with their money on an investment. Why fans like you get so up tight about billionaire Indians spending their cash I will never know.

There wasnt 7 million available to buy 2/3 players. We had a separate budget for that. They saw a chance to invest and took it. It’s really not rocket science.

Haha, brilliant. Absolute crock of shite about a 'separate budget'.

And the BB fee was in the year-end accounts.

    It's really not rocket science.

Sadly there is non and nobody can be arsed or really actually cares about part timers not being required in the same number as before. Apart from a few virtue signalers looking for a regular fan beating stick of course.

It's a sad reflection on JBiz that he thinks it's appropriate to blame the fans for people at Ewood losing their jobs. He clearly has no real grasp on what has happened to BRFC over the last ten years. He should log in here more to help his understanding.

BB - you know BRFCS is a microcosm - it’s an extreme views on a subject, with the most pessimistic posters generally the highest contributors.

Hence why I can quite happily turn it off for months. Ignorance is bliss when it comes to reading contributions like yours, which is basically constantly repeating the notion that buying one = thumbs up to owners.

The idea that buying a season ticket means people are happy with the last few years and our prospects, may make sense to you and few more empty vessels here.

The reality though, most balanced and mindful fans (a group referred to as the “know nowts” by the sites biggest contributor) would make their own mind up, dependent on a myriad of their own personal reasons.

Ah well, thanks for popping back and illuminating us all with your 'mindful' and 'balanced' approach to all things BRFC. It really is an honour.

Next you’ll be calling a wokeflake, quoting David Icke and moaning about the agenda of Soros and Gates.

    No, sorry, I won't.

    Just now, JBiz said:

Reality is though - none attendance is going to achieve nothing but save you a few quid.

Achieve 'nothing' in what way?. If you're happy with the way the club is run then you crack on. Not everybody is and staying away does more for me than attending. Nowt to do with money.

    Just now, JBiz said:

For all the BRFCS bellyache, that fact seems forgotten.

It's strange how you see BRFCS as a hive mind, whilst simultaneously taking the moral high ground. Ignorant much?
