Was any of it hands on/in a technical capacity or where you a student/work experience/runner? I’m not having a go here, but there’s very little positives to an (assumed) very small in-house team running something like this compared to IMG. There’s a reason only the top PL teams run operations like this eg MUTV or LFC.

Plymouth Argyle were the latest EFL club to move away from iFollow and the EFL’s digital platform in favour of creating their own website in unison with Other Media and StreamAMG.

I suppose it depends who Rovers are 'in unison' with.

Hmm, not sure. I got the impression from the EFL email that the website and the streaming service might still be operated by EFL, just with all branding more personalised to the club than just "iFollow". JoeH suggested otherwise.

Blackburn Rovers to launch new club website and streaming service with iFollow replaced - LancsLive

Blackburn Rovers are to unveil an updated digital service that will include a new official website and streaming service.  Rovers are to move away from the traditional EFL Digital website and introduce a new design that is to be more accessible and engaging with supporters.

As part of the new digital service Rovers will also be navigating away from the iFollow system, with the club's video service now changing to RoversTV, with supporters encouraged to register with the new system once the website starts up on Tuesday 1st June.

I doubt cost would increase. Rovers will be making more money from doing it themselves without the need of increasing price to fans. iFollow streaming service only gives clubs a certain % of profits from sales. Rovers will have full domain over their own digital income here - so even if prices remained the same, they'd be better off.

Incorrect. The home team kept all the money from passes sold via it's own website, and all the money from the first 500 tickets sold on the away teams website.

My guess is the the reason for doing this is that by opting out of the EFL ifollow scheme that Rovers can now keep all the money from  match streams at Ewood, no matter where they are bought and by which team. But it's only a guess.

I was reading this article last year, although it looks as though it only applies to match passes as opposed to annual subscriptions.

For match passes, the home team takes all revenue from all home match passes sold, as well as all of the revenue from the first 500 away passes sold. Beyond those 500 away passes, the away team takes all of the revenue.

Let's say a match pass costs £10 with the home team selling 1,000 match passes, and the away team selling 500 matches passes. The home team gets £15,000. The away team gets £0.

Let's say the home team sells 1,000 match passes, and the away team sells 20,000 match passes. The home team would receive £15,000, and the away team would receive £195,000.

With season passes, I swear I read somewhere that the club receives 70% of the revenue from it.

So will Rovers now get the money for all the away fans because RoversTV is the only place the away fans can buy a match pass to watch their team at Ewood?

How many points did we take off Warnock's Boro team?

You said that Warnock would get top 6 last season and he got nowhere close.

Big predictions so early into this summer transfer window.

But closer than the manager you backed to the hilt, who you now want out.

Still think he’ll go and that the manager they have in their mind is in a job already...which I’m guessing is the most likely reason for delay.

    Yeah, that'll be it. 🙄

Yeah and because you ain’t heard anything, then there’s nowt happening...right?

    Precisely. There's nowt happening. 👍

If we line up with that team next season with Mowbray in charge, we'll get relegated.

Mowbray had a young team at Cov I think which started like a house on fire and was doing well up to Christmas then fell apart in the 2nd half of the season. Season after he got sacked after not winning any of the fist ten games. Here's hoping for the sacking part...

A lot of (unpaid) work has gone into this, well worth a read IMO.

Interesting that our possession % has increased quite markedly since 18/19 but the % of our forward passes compared to 18/19 has dropped.

We just have more of the ball these days and do about the same with it as when we played long to DG.

Don't agree with the comments on the 'Results v Performances' page. How is it 'draconian' to base football decisions on anything other than results, especially if those results have barely changed over 3 years?

The AA stats confirm the view that he shoots from distance a lot because we create so few 'easy' chances for him in the box. He basically has to do it himself. Makes his 28 goals all the more remarkable.

    We're shit at set-pieces. Fact!

The most startling stat is results of games when we've been in the Top 10 in the last 3 years. 26 games played - only 3 wins! Absolute bottlers!!

    Anyway, good read. cheers.

The club reckon Armstrong is going to stay.

    Probably only if:-

AA signs a new contract and AA states he won't move even if a Prem team come in for him.

    OR

AA wants to see out his contract to give himself more options next summer, even though Rovers are desperate to sell him cos they'll get nowt in a years time.

I can see that lots of fans have walked away in droves, I also saw lots come crawling out the woodwork for the Oxford game.

That's pretty much exactly what Waggott said after the Oxford game. You think along similar lines, whilst missing the point entirely.

I wonder how many would turn up at Wembley should we make the play off final.

How many turned up at the FMC final? People turn up to see success at every club in the world. Rovers are no different. That still doesn't mean genuine fans who have watched more games than you ever will haven't walked away in disgust. Maybe they just have higher standards than you and can't bear seeing the club and Jack's legacy being systematically destroyed.

I don't see that I am legitimising the regime, and I have lost all respect for Waggot with that stunt. It's the 11 on the pitch that I care about, and the legacy that Jack built. Also the fans that turn out week in week out, watching utter dross at times but do so because it's our club. The current owners will eventually leave as will the coventrio, but true fans won't walk away as blue and white is in their blood.

You are legitimising the regime by financially supporting it. True fans that bleed blue and white won't support the destruction of Jack's legacy (see I can do the emotive BS too)

Lots of fans have walked away over the last ten years. Fans that have probably watched more Rovers games than you, home and away. You aren't special.
