Players leave for money or for the prospect of more starts, I think very few, if any, leave because of what fans think of a manager.
Hs that been stated somewhere on here?

with a big and passionate fanbase,
Is it a big fan base? About same pop. as Preston.
Only been once to watch Rovers, sometime in early 80's so genuinely don't know the crowds they are capable of getting. Always like them as a club though, for no obvious reason. Might go back to them beating Arsenal in the FA Cup.

AA's movement is very underappreciated, as is his pace. His finishing needs to improve, but it's his movement and pace that gets him the chances. Very few, even in the Prem, have what AA has in that regard. He can also smack them in the from 25 yards because his technique is excellent.
Everton and WHU would be getting a quality player who can only get better.
And another thing in his favour is a lot of Prem teams defend high up the pitch these days. He's incredibly dangerous when huge spaces are left for him to run into.

Not under Mowbray and his possession-based bollocks.
JR needs players who can cross the ball to him, not pass it back 40 yards when in a crossing position.

Tbf I quite regularly read on here that we’re “better than the likes of Brentford” or shouldn’t be anywhere near the likes of Luton and so on.
A small selection of posters might say that, and they may say it quite often, but I very much doubt the vast majority of posters on here are that deluded.

I don’t support Rovers to watch great football OR because I love Venkys (I don’t btw) 🤣🤣🤣
The only time in my life I stopped watching was under Coyle. There was something about him that made my skin crawl. Made me feel like I needed a shower after I’d listened to one of his interviews....I’m not at that stage (yet) so I’ll be there, cheering my club on!
I've been at that stage for a while, sadly.

Personally choosing to believe that Mowbray will be gone in a few weeks (delayed by Covid concerns in India pushing Rovers down Venkys priority list) and a new manager is waiting for the mutual consent announcement to spring into action.
Hopefully one of Wilder, Howe or Ainsworth, but would equally love a proper back to basics dinosaur like Hughesy (as long as it ain't bloody Pulis).
Mike's happy place!

Are you getting a ST for next season?

I've never said "end of the month" specifically, just that the info was that it was intended to be a relatively dignified departure at the end of the season.
I.e. my reading of that would be they probably wouldn't be potting him an hour after the season finished and that it would probably be expressed to be "by mutual consent" even if it wasn't.
As regards Nixon's twitter feed, it wasn't Nixon who suggested it, someone has tweeted him speculating Mowbray'll be gone by the end of the month and Nixon has pooh poohed it saying only if Mowbray wants to leave as well.
Could just be someone recycling what they've read on here.
Ah right, I didn't read the full tweet convo. So someone has read it on here and asked Nixon for confirmation.

I thought that was Mercer. "End of the season" was the only 'end of' I was told about.
I knew I'd read 'end of May' somewhere, it's just quite amusing Nixon is using the same timeframe🙄

Never thought I'd be grateful to be backed up by something off Nixon's feed but I'll take it. The fact he is casting doubt on it makes me feel a little more confident Lol.
The bit about "end of the month" would tie in exactly with my original understanding about the timescale and a relatively dignified exit etc.
Of course it could just be someone whose read this thread and is recycling the rumours on here!
Anyone know who @ 1875 is?
Was it not you that put on here he's be gone by the end of the month. Either you @Manior @oldjamfan1?
Nixon is basically just repeating what he's read on here isn't he?

Rumour has it. and it is just a rumour. that we've triggered the extension to get a transfer fee.
Oh right, thought I'd missed something. It was stated as a fact.

We're letting Rothwell go? Thought we'd triggered his contract extension?

Over 2k of us will get a discount on our season ticket though, wouldnt that jeopardise that?
You should enjoy the full discount and not get one😉

Todays LT:-
Indeed, Raya could yet be the biggest goalkeeping story of the summer once again, with Rovers waiting on a possible Premier League move for the Spaniard that would see a sell-on clause activated.
Alternatively, should Brentford reach the top-flight themselves, there is a promotion clause within the deal that took Raya to the capital, and help push the initial £3m fee closer to the £5m maximum.

Just wondering Chaddy what makes you think Mcbride is good enough yet? Championship a different ball game to Under 23s. Look at Joe Nuttall, he was scoring for fun for our Under 23s then he was useless and simply not good enough in our first team at both league one and championship level.
I've only seen a few of the U23 games this season that have been on YouTube. There are 3 or 4 players that regularly stand out but McBride hasn't been one of them. Probably not quite ready.
Nuttall's not done much at Blackpool. League 2 may be his level.

Supporters can boycott season tickets to show their dissatisfaction. That's fine.
Agreed.
Just now, Meesh said:Supporters can also turn up and actually voice their dissatisfaction, which I'm sure they will. That's also fine.
It is fine, I haven't said it isn't. Whether there will be dissatisfaction voiced is another matter.
Just now, Meesh said:Either way, I'm not a fan of this "do it this way or you're not a real supporter". There's too much division and blaming of other fans on both sides. What's wrong with either of the above options? Whatever people feel they want to do, they shouldn't be pigeon-holed by you or anybody else.
I don't remember saying you're not a real supporter if you buy a ST? But if you do buy one the club will see it as an endorsement of their stewardship of the club.

... if you're looking out for Harry Chapman over Rovers, yes.
He's no use to Rovers sat on the bench. If he's given a chance and isn't good enough then fair enough. But he hasn't had a chance.

Chapman's comments give me the impression that he's not that bothered about being at Rovers.
His comments gave me the impression he wants to play football and he will go wherever he's allowed to do that. Quite a refreshing attitude to be fair.
