  1. He didn't have his chances. How many games did he start, even in L1? Very few yet when he played in L1 he looked a class above most.
  2. Yep. Attitude, application, passion, effort. Not the most gifted but more guts than most. You won't have been at the Shrewsbury home game when we effectively knocked the stuffing out of their charge for 2nd spot. Bennett and Smallwood went to war for the blue n white halves that day😉 Will live long in the memory. Legend!
  3. Decent L2 striker FFS! He's a decent Championship striker as proved when he played as a striker in a relegated team and scored 12 goals and was one of the few highlights of the season.
  4. We play one up front and have a manager who thinks playing target men on the wing is normal and effective. So him not playing up front is not a reflection on his ability to play there successfully. I rate him, you won't convince me otherwise. 😉
  5. His stats as a central striker would be more representative. I think he's a good player and has been wasted out wide.
  6. If it wasn't for our top scorer we'd score more goals and win more comfortably. Think on.
  7. Nah, as others have said you've spent the last two games obsessively slagging him during games. Nowt to do with him being PL and 'top level'. You need to own your bullshit😷
  8. As oft repeated he scored 12 goals under the hapless Coyle when played in his correct position. He's a central striker.
  9. So he's a good signing but is also responsible for us not being in the play offs? Cognitive dissonance.
  10. Its not a normal job. They represent the community they play for. He has been superb for BRFC. Deserves more respect than thanks and bye.
  11. Brilliant signing, said it many times. You don't think so though, ironically. Hoisted by your own petard. Gally nodding a ball across goal for him to head in from 8 yards is a strikers dream. A lot of his goals dont come that way. He normally has to work a lot harder for them. Mainly because he's often ploughing a lone furrow up front.
  12. Like all good strikers he's often in the right place. Imagine if he played in a team that had support up alongside him (him scoring in the 6 yard box is a rarity) . He carries the responsibility for goals in a team that has very few other goalscorers in it. He often has to create for himself too. He's having a brilliant season.
  13. No, you said the current Championship table suggested Mowbray was as good if not better than Warnock and O'Neil.
  14. No idea what 'hypocracy' is? Or what your point is? Apart from that, good post.
  15. I always miss you when AA scores. 🤣 I'm sure you're mature enough to give him some credit though.
  16. You're basing your view of 10/20/30 year careers on the table at the halfway point of one season?
  17. He must wake up every time Armstrong scores🤣 Hoochie poochie is inspired. Well done.
  18. You wanted Mowbray out a couple of weeks ago. Nobody was slagging him off more than you. Changed your mind again? Anyway, you spent 85 mins slagging off our leading scorer today then you disappeared. Funny that!
  19. Agreed, the point I was trying to make is that it doesn't seem to be important when deciding which full backs to purchase. Full backs are just wingers these days in a lot of teams.
  20. When Douglas arrived Mowbray commented on his attacking capabilities. Never mentioned his defending. Bell isnt a defender, more like a poor winger. I know it's only YouTube but Pickering does look good going forward, he can actually put the ball where the strikers want it. Intelligent cut backs too.
  21. All he does is score goals. Waste of space.
  22. Lot of time for Benno. He epitomised everything that was good about that L1 promotion team. Deserves a lot more respect than the negative drivel written about him on this forum.
