  1. We look like we’re holding on here and there’s still 20 left. weird to not let Dack and BBD play together, given they were quite productive last time they did
  2. This is poor. It’s not a disaster, we’re just not close to where we need to be to play this way.
  3. Might be uncouth to say, but I’ve enjoyed what’s happening to Middlesbrough after Lenihan’s “club going in the right direction” comments. Didn’t realise he was so keen to visit League One again, although maybe that’s the “right” level for him, who knows?
  4. Was sold a few by BBD and Ayala and let a couple of ours slide. We’d have noticed it the other way round, for sure.
  5. Incredibly fortunate. Millwall weren’t robbed but we’d be livid about the ref, he was soft on us. Just have to hope lessons are learned for Tuesday.
  6. Keystone Cops stuff from Millwall
  7. Gallagher looks short of fitness and sharpness, Dack would’ve been a better option to start.
  8. The militant adherence to playing it out from the back regardless of risk is absolutely terrifying.
  9. Not a criticism, I turned off at 2-0. We don’t recover from there. I think people should expect inconsistency, though. New coach/ideas and young players. Sidebar; what’ve you got against long hair and waxing?
  10. Mood has shifted somewhat from Tuesday…
  11. Talk rubbishing JDT 8 games into the league season and with the exodus/nature of his appointment are hyperbolic, but I don’t mind much if that’s what you think. I don’t think any of us expected promotion this year, but I don’t think relegation is on the cards either.
  12. Whole of this performance has a pre-season feel to it. Looks really chaotic and disorganised. Lots of players physically off the pace. Bristol are good value for a win here, they’ve played well and executed their plan.
  13. He’s trying to encourage them to play out from the back, but I don’t think there’s enough intuition among the back four+Kaminski to do it. CBs on the 6-yard line is something I cannot abide, it’s too technical, too %age-focused, especially as with a pressing opponent, it’s usually hoofed long.
  14. Shocker to concede. From progress up on the left to Scott waltzing away from Brereton, Morton and Pickering. Hyam over-committed, but the above is where the major error was. I’d give them a major bollocking at half time.
  15. That move was a lot better. Hirst unlucky to receive the ball slowly, as Hedges does really well to get it to him. Definite deflection. Wells showing himself to be exactly the unfulfilled potential he’s always been tagged with.
  16. Only watching last 20 mins or so, but not a great showing so far. Only positive is Hyam continues to look very, very solid at this level.
  17. “We got him on loan from VfB Stuttgart, Gregg had a look and thought he looked the part, Clinton Mooooola M-O-L-A, Moooooola.” etc
  18. I suspect every bid that’s going to be made for him “tomorrow” will already be in, so both BBD and JDT know full well the likelihood of him going or not, based on how many are in and how much they’re for.
  19. Quick mention for Hyam doing exactly as Coventry fans were saying. Incredibly solid 7/10 so far.
  20. You can hear him getting a lot of “man on” shouts and he’s just totally unfazed and in control. Mad.
  21. Done well so far tonight. Tracking, battling and looking to carry it when he can. Dolan’s regressed, I’ve got to think this is last chance as a starter. If he doesn’t impress, he’s on the bench for the foreseeable.
  22. Morton’s just covering Trav when he’s drawn out. You can see Morton’s got the right stuff, he’s got a good football brain already.
  23. I’d like to see an LB (direct competition) and an RB (cover) in, but if it’s just LB, I won’t be disappointed with the business this window at all. If we get either/both done cheaply and have something to spend in the event of emergency/opportunity in January, it’ll be astute and in line with the gradual build (which you can moan about all you want, but it’s what’s been outlined and what appears to be happening).
  24. The Hirst deal structure conjecture is really tedious. It’s all of your respective rights to post about it, but as a reader, it’s my right to tell you how utterly boring it is.
