  1. Wrong thread, please don't distract from the disastrous transfer window with any positive news!
  2. The complete lack of transfer activity is definitely worth investigating if you are a journalist. If anyone gets the chance you can say "the fans are concerned, as 5 or 6 players are needed, is there still a healthy budget in place?" If any journalists close to the club read this forum, DM me if you need some pointers.
  3. I don't really understand the calm down argument from a fan perspective, unless you know signings are imminent that will improve the team? It needs improving drastically to compete and the evidence so far is that not enough is being done on that front from the new regime. I'm hugely disappointed and concerned for a number of reasons, not only do we need players but those players need time to gel, train, get to know each other and be able to compete from day 1 in the league. Have we given ourselves the best chance at a successful start to the new season? Probably not I'm afraid. It's disappointing on a number of levels, fan optimism, squad strength and season ticket sales. They need to pull their finger out and write some cheques.
  4. I'm happy to support the club's youth and I want to see them given a chance in the first team but using it as justification to allow the club to continue to be a poorly run business (which is what some fans are now doing) and not see a return on the majority of their investments to allow for future investment isn't something I can be positive about. We need a lot of transfers in quickly. We can't use youth players to cover up the owner's previously incompetent setup (yes Waggot that means you) and we can't get ourselves in this situation ever again, not if they want to see the club make any significant progression; the model as it stands isn't sustainable.
  5. In stock but you get denied at checkout on Macron if you're in the UK, so no way currently to get it sponsorless... in England.
  6. Any way we can get a message across to the club that the season starts in 4 weeks?
  7. Clearly they will miss out on a ton of sales if they don't find a way to sell it without the sponsor.
  8. "Sorry, some products are not purchasable in this country" UK
  9. Is there any pattern or detail on the navy away kit? It looks extremely basic. I'll also be disappointed if the badges are stickers and not embroidered like they were in the past and are on the training wear.
  10. We are starting to feel noncompetitive wage wise in the Championship.
  11. Respect the 20 game idea but in my opinion it's totally counter productive to rely on unreliable players. They can do a job in a fixture and are missing in the next, I find on the whole it disrupts a season. I'd rather have someone that can play every week even with less ability. Not only that he is eating up valuable wages that could be used to strengthen the squad. Get rid quickly I say if the opportunity to do so is there. He's been a terrible signing. It would be better if we didn't get ourselves in these situations in the first place by paying a transfer fee for fit defenders.
  12. Some shrewd signings being made elsewhere. Hopefully we can get active soon.
  13. Anyone know where I can buy the scarf JDT is holding in Chaddy's picture? It's really simple and retro, and with the club logo. I can't see it in the club store (which doesn't really surprise me!!) I'm pretty sure it'd be a lot more popular than the navy blue one they have listed currently! Surely as a basic rule of thumb on the merch front with Rovers blue and white sells? 🥴
  14. Purchased my first set of season tickets in 12 years today, not because I all of a sudden think we're going to start winning games but because this is the first leadership appointment made in that time I can get behind. With Broughton and Tomasson the club are finally making the right noises off the field. Looking forward to supporting inside Ewood again and I hope others feel the same. 💙🤍
  15. Huddersfield did it without spending. I'd like to think we can get the same amount in and spend a bit of money.
  16. Christ, absolutely how it should be. I can't believe what we've been forced to read/ listen to in the past. The dumbing down of expectations at a famous football club. It's incredible really!!! It looks like we might finally have a bit of personality and excitement now.
  17. It's important to get rid of Daniel Ayala this summer and sign at least two fit centre backs that can handle 90 minutes of football week in week out. It should be a very busy summer for the new manager, starting this week! I think you're potentially looking at 9 signings depending on sales.
  18. Josh Murphy needs avoiding. Preston sent him back for being a p*sshead.
  19. Seems like the only winner in the Rover's managerial saga is going to be the bookies!
  20. Whoever is responsible for the managerial pursuit either needs firing or to resign. It's total incompetence on their behalf or they haven't been back by their employer. Either way there should be a casualty that isn't just the fans and season ticket sales.
  21. Clearly selling as many season tickets and finishing as high as possible isn't on the list of priorities. That was made absolutely clear in January. As a player I'd have been totally deflated by the lack of ambition shown when we were 2nd and even more so when I return for pre-season to find Lowe, Benson and second rate manager that I have to google, waiting to greet me. The summer will be a well paid holiday camp for the boys that couldn't get a move elsewhere - it's already heading that way. Decent owners, a strategy and a fair budget would get a yes from most to manage Blackburn Rovers. VENKY'S AND WAGGOT OUT!!
