Carter and Pickering both fairly effective going forwards, Carters had a couple assists hasnt he this season? I do think ohashi and gueye are good signing but not the perfect front two together unfortunately (on paper should be) as we dont play that system.

I'd argue strongest bench we've had since league 1 promotion or before. If brittain /Siggy fit a couple of those players miss out on squad.. Carter RB is a good shout (even if forced) as a physical preston team. Just not sure if Baker is best to start, lets hope he makes subs early if needed. Cmon Yuki your position to keep now!

He's been getting results in the big games against good teams feels like we haven't had that for years. JDT never got it tactically right (did have an awful squad though). Am really liking Eustace, think this will be an interesting season

bizarre refereeing, blowed for everything first 60 mins, then didn't give us a single foul for 20 (Ohashi could barely touch ball without being fouled) disallowed goal for no reason, gave us loads of yellow first half, didn't give them any 2nd half. We deserved most of them but still make it equal. unbelievable result really. I'd tail it a good start to the season. Beck looks another good signing and not even seen attacking side of him yet. Him and brittain had very difficult games. Baker and Trav with good chances there too..

Biggest risk is Toth, lets hope he comes good. Just shows after a few injuries we'll be in trouble. we couldn't beat their press, passed it around at the back etc with no options and weak in the middle, Buckley is a decent player when he can be assed to find space, only one that can pick a smart pass and break the lines today, JRC was no help though to be fair. I think our 1st eleven is an okay champ side. worrying after that. duru could of done with a loan in league 1 really. but looks capable. In my opinion JRC's best position looks to be right back (or right wing back).. I'd be happy with him as cover there if we signed a decent winger who tracks back. Looks like Ohashi may struggle if the goals dry up. Looks like the new LB will get thrown in on Saturday potentially? also 5 subs.. never going to help. changing the front 3 is okay but anything after that is suicide.

If Beck is an upgrade as a loan on anything we can buy i'd be happy.. if not then at least we've got cover. From the vid it looks like he makes a lot of poor choices, doesnt pass at right times. We'll see. Personally would gamble on Cantwell if thats true.

Positive compared to last season is i look at the bench and actually hope 3 or 4 players get brought on. I feel JRC has a point to prove to keep place, Ohashi for Gueye if he doesnt make an impact, or Dolan if he doesn't. Siggy for Hedges.. Duru for Brittain when he gets injured. Interestingly I can't predict our front 4 right now. Personally would go weimann right, hedges left (still think siggy has something extra though after watching Stockport game), can see Buckley coming off the bench a lot this season, particularly when behind. Important player in that regard if we don't sign another CM..

Would of had a solid champ forward line with szmodics + a half decent winger, but ah well. I'd be happy enough if just had a full squad for once, both wing back cover (not convinced on Duru myself yet needs a loan), creative CM, Winger, Striker, Goalie. Ship out Vale. 5 players in needed and we've plenty of loans to use up..

Yeh JRC very off it. Hedges was outpaced, though I think a handy squad player. Need a left winger with pace.. glad the club have recognised that. Ohashi looks like he's the number 11 we've been missing for years (even if not amazing, we just haven't had one since Brereton?) Guaye an improvement on Gallagher, some great flicks/one touch build up play, but his finishing is to be seen.. also whether we can turn his heading abilities into goals. Weimann did what he does best, good to see. Travis made a few penetrating runs which were very effective. He is a good champ player on his day. I didn't think Pears made any obvious clangers? maybe I missed it. Still would like an improvement. 3 or 4 half decent signings (fullback cover (Left mostly), CM & winger) and I think we'll be okay.. if Sammie ends up staying as Ipswich/nobody will pay fair money then definitely okay..

JRC been a bit off it. Can Ohashi play there? Guaye got cramp after running at 90% effort for the first time. Improvement on gallagher off the ball so far.

When was the last time we had more than one 1st team left back? Sounds like garrett off to bristol rovers, i catch a fair few of their games. I think he's been signed as a more advanced cm, interesting to see how he does if so.
