This is the thing isn't it, things like this don't happen outside of Blackburn Rovers. Waggott and the Venky's don't care about quality or inexperience, they care that he'll be cheap - we'd essentially be giving him work experience, in the 2nd highest division in the English football pyramid.

Does McGuire have too much genuine bitterness towards the Club? Who knows! I personally get the impression that this is maybe just his agent advising him appropriately, since 'what happened' gives him the upper hand when/if they come to negotiating his salary. I could be wrong of course, in which case, they should leave it be. Also - considering the fact that he's on about 1k a week right now, I wonder what he'd consider to be "a lot of money"? We might have originally offered him 7/8k a week, but maybe now it'd have to become ~10k?

☝️ this is correct

Oh he definitely will, and some of them certainly fit the bill for what we need... but not the ones he'll be going for, sadly. Whilst i'd welcome the likes of Miyoshi, Dembele, James, Bacuna and Laird with open arms... it's more likely the case that he'll be looking to recruit players like Jutkiewicz, Pritchard, and of course Ruddy.

This is my concern... I'd expect GB to be fully on board with bringing in good, experience players who aren't too over the hill - but I think it's likely the case that Eustace is just looking at the really old and really cheap options, that nobody else wants... and that's where there's been a clash.

Window is a few weeks out, here's what i'd consider a good and semi-realistic window; IN John Ruddy - Free James Hill - 2m (?) Ben Chrisene - Loan to buy Yasin Ayari - Loan Herbie Kane - Free Siriki Dembele - 1.4m Josh Bowler - Free Duncan McGuire - 2.4m Aaron Connolly - Free OUT Gallagher - 1m Szmodics - 12m Wahlstedt - Loan Telalovic - Loan Garrett - Loan Seems unlikely they'd spend that much (~6m) atm but if they sell Gally and Szmodics I think it becomes more possible. Some pricey frees in there too I guess, but would massively improve the squad that's for sure. Would also like to see a better keeper bought, but feels certain that they're getting Ruddy and that's that.

Agreed, i'd say £330 for the JW Central should be the absolute max'. They've destroyed the product, so should charge people accordingly... What if Netflix announced: "Dear valued subscribers, we're halving our catalogue and removing all high-royalty AAA titles, and ceasing future additions. Instead, we'll only be adding movies/shows that in turn will benefit us more financially, regardless of their quality. Meanwhile, subscription fees will stay the same or increase." The result? A mass exodus of subscribers. They'd better get this right, or Ewood will be a ghost town. -
Gregg: Steve have the owners got back to you regarding the budget? Waggott: Not yet, they said a couple of weeks back that they're looking into it. Gregg: Ahh okay - could you possibly give them a nudge so we can plan for the window? It opens in 5 weeks. Waggott: Umm yeah course Gregg... *bites a chocolate digestive* i'll look into it. 5 weeks, let's hope they can get their ducks in a row! Though I wouldn't hold my breath...

Seems that they're more focused on flogging Rovers Darts shirts at the moment 🙄 Even got Bradley Brooks involved with the marketing... Christ almighty.
