  1. Aint it mad, that even the idea of us signing a decent free agent is wishful thinking nowadays. Marek Rodak, Josh Bowler, Aaron Connolly, Tyrese Campbell - all available as free agents, but all of them seem so far out of reach. Just thinking of the players we've had in the past... these lot couldn't lace their boots. Kills me seeing what they've done, and continue to do, to our Club.
  2. I get exactly what you're saying, but it's just a bit of a stinker overall... A properly run Club in the same position would take the ~£1m from selling Wahlstedt, and put it towards the purchase of a top keeper who could be our #1 for years, like Daniel Iversen for example.
  3. That'd be great! Only issue is, the money would simply disappear just like the rest... we'll end up with Ruddy on a free transfer regardless 🙄
  4. It could be all bollocks, I really hope it is... if not, preparations for League One are clearly well underway.
  5. Palmer over Saka, otherwise it's pretty much spot on!
  6. Absolutely, around £2m in total i'll say - and not really on anyone who will immediately impact the first team. It'll be all about grabbing youngsters to develop and sell further down the line, which i'm generally on board with... but right now, the starting 11 is in critical need of reinforcements, our Championship status depends on it.
  7. I 100% get what you're saying regarding Maguire, but the thing is... he somehow turns into Maldini when he pulls an England shirt on 😂
  8. "John Eustace is expected to work closely with Park and Waggott on Blackburn Rovers' recruitment this summer. The head coach is expected to have some funds available after the January sale of Adam Wharton." Above is what Jackson wrote, i've highlighted the key word there. JDT expected funds also. This is Rovers under the Venky's and Waggott... the only thing we should expect regarding funds, is that they'll provide way less than we need, if anything.
  9. Would like to see us go with this for the first game against Serbia; Am I being biased towards Wharton? Yes, but also no... the boy is genuinely phenomenal.
  10. Fully agree. In an ideal world, this would be the case for the majority of loanees. Only making exceptions for very highly rated young prospects who we'd never be able to afford (such as Elliott, Tosin etc).
  11. Incredibly bittersweet. So proud of Adam, he's proved us all right and shown the world what we always knew he could do, huge things are on the horizon and i'm absolutely delighted for him. On the other hand I just can't shake this anger towards the owners and Waggott... Adam wanted to stay at the Club he loves, but was flogged on the cheap at the earliest convenience just to cover the bills for our dodgy negligent owners. What if JDT was properly backed in January 2023? If he was given funds to sign a good striker, and the O'brien deal wasn't botched... might we have been promoted? Might Adam have been playing for England right now, as a Rovers player? Might Bayern have been looking to offer north of £60m to us and not Palace? I'll never forgive them for many things, but this one possibly takes the top spot. Get the Venky's, Pasha and that disgusting little rat Waggott out of our Club.
  12. Grab a can of spray paint and write "Waggott Out" on it. It'll be replaced within a day 👍
  13. If we sell Samuel Joseph Szmodics for any less than £12m, then i'll lose any ounce of hope that I have left for the Club. £8m would be an absolute tragedy... we'll become even more of a laughing stock than we already are.
  14. If he stayed he would have ended up playing quite a bit for us last season - and could have put himself in the shop window for lower/mid PL Clubs, who would actually play him. He'd have probably been offered a new contract with a nice pay rise too.
  15. Despite all of the bollocks that goes on here, it's actually a fantastic place for young talent to make a name for themselves. Instead of loaning out our best kids, we play them in the country's second toughest division. Our owners won't spend money on players, so Academy players are guaranteed first-team minutes, even if they're not quite good enough. Aside that though, if I was at a Club that spent 8 years moulding me into a top prospect - i'd be very loyal and grateful, despite not supporting them. Would give them at least a couple of years.
  16. Joins Rovers at 8 years old and becomes a highly-rated prospect thanks to our fantastic Academy... only to jump ship as soon as Newcastle come in with their oil money. If this is true, then get gone.
  17. I know right?! The £349 early bird price is still about £100 too expensive, considering the 'product' they're offering.
  18. Curiosity prevailed. This episode of their pod has been released, so I listened to the last bit about Rovers. What is the news? I hear you say... Nothing. They just spent a few minutes kissing the Venky's asses for dropping season tickets by £30.
  19. Apparently a good few Premier League Clubs were after Aodhan Doherty back in December, including the likes of West Ham, Everton and Brighton. Not sure why nothing materialised, but he must be pretty decent to be attracting PL interest after only a handful of games in the Northern Irish first division. One for the future you'd assume, i'm sure he'll turn out to be well worth the reported £100k fee.
  20. It’ll turn out to be something small and largely irrelevant, which will likely have no impact on improving the playing staff… which realistically, is all that we really want.
  21. It's insane, we have a CEO who blatantly does not care about the Club in the slightest. He lies, strips the Club of it's assets, hires all of his useless buddies, gives himself huge pay rises, rinses loyal supporters... yet he's completely untouchable. We need him gone, but the only people able to make that happen are even worse, and somehow care even less than he does. It's insane the things that we fans have had to put up with... mad things that would simply never happen at other Clubs are the norm here. I genuinely believe we're cursed at times!
  22. Would Sammie fancy a move to Turkey? Possibly not. Assume he’ll hang on for a decent PL Club to come in, which should happen soon enough.
