  1. Rotheram have won just 1 of their last 12 league games, with 8 losses and 3 draws. They have also just received a 4-1 tanking from Ipswich in the cup. If we are genuine promotion candidates, then we should have no issue capitalising on their awful form. I'm sure they will be hungry for a result, but realistically their squad just isn't quite 'Championship standard' IMO. In theory, we should given them a hiding - but in typical Rovers fashion, we'll probably make this wayyy harder for ourselves than it should be. That being said, i'm going to predict a nervy 1-0 win here!
  2. Has a look of JDT actually, could be his long lost son! Perhaps he's willing to break the bank to bring him in... build a relationship with him, make up for the lost years etc. https://img.a.transfermarkt.technology/portrait/big/499758-1558516818.png?lm=1 Nah come on he's 4.5m, he aint coming here. What's Berget up to?
  3. Worth 4.5m, contact expires in December. Would cost a good few bob I bet... therefore I doubt it. It's probably just a case of people putting 2 and 2 together, with the whole Broughton/Bodo link.
  4. Ahh fair enough! I think we're desperately in need of a gritty CDM... Ben Pearson on loan with an option to buy, that would be ideal.
  5. Hmmm, would love that to be the case... do you know something we don't? I feel like he's just trying to be totally transparent, for the fans... so we don't expect too much and end up disappointed etc.
  6. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23236845.we-need---jon-dahl-tomasson-gives-blackburn-rovers-transfer-update/ JDT gives a bit of a transfer update, nothing major really - but again the "money issue" was mentioned. Sounds like we're dealing in peanuts here, would probably be wise to not expect any major signings this window folks. Unless we sell BBD of course... but then again, would we even be able to spend the funds?
  7. If we could get say £6m for Diaz, with the promise of being able to reinvest the money right away, i'd take it with no hesitation. Mindful that BBD has fallen off a bit lately, and we'd lose him for free in a few months anyway. If that did happen, a successful window for me would be along the lines of; Siriki Dembele - Loan Reda Khadra - Loan Jo Inge Berget - Free Jan Paul van Hecke - 1.5m Ben Pearson - 2m Very unlikely of course... but I think we'd be in a much better position with additions like that, than if we kept the currently out of form BBD. Khadra might be questionable to some, but I think he'd thrive under JDT with the current system. Realistically, wages would probably be the biggest issue regarding the above.
  8. Everton are again looking at BBD, he'll be a "cheap option" apparently. Considering the fact that they offered a poxy £8m (IIRC) in the summer window, I wonder what laughable amount they'll stump up this time with his contract expiring soon 😅 Wouldn't take less than 6/7m personally! “They’re pondering a move and he will be a cheap option. Lampard is seriously pushing for that signing again.”
  9. Friday Burnley 0-0 Norwich Saturday Birmingham 0-1 Swansea Blackpool 1-1 Middlesbrough Bristol C 1-0 Preston Cardiff 0-2 Hull Coventry 0-3 WBA QPR 0-1 Huddersfield Sheff U 3-1 Rotherham Stoke 1-2 Luton Sunderland 0-1 Millwall Watford 2-0 Reading Wigan 0-2 Rovers
  10. How we can play so well in one game, to so awfully poor in the next just doesn't make sense... sure injuries don't help, but even when we manage to whip up a decent enough squad on paper you just don't know what's going to happen. Inconsistency is a huge issue right now. This is a bogey fixture for us, and there is nothing to suggest that we should win... but for some wild unknown reason i'm convinced that we're gonna give them a tanking. Gonna go with 3-0 Rovers, I don't really know why.
  11. Would love to see Ayala back for this one, with Carter filling in at RB; It's unfortunate after a good performance against Blackpool, but i'd bench Morton to make room for Travis in the middle - and of course Adam Wharton should be the first name on the team sheet after the other night. With this line-up i'd be pretty confident of a win, and a clean sheet. Will go 2-0 Rovers.
  12. When the dingles arrive, he'll seduce all their wives, that's a Mola
  13. Rich Sharpe says we aren't looking to sign Styles; Sorry to disappoint those who would like to see him at Ewood Park, but as things stand, Rovers aren’t in the running to sign Barnsley’s Callum Styles. Rovers looked at Styles in January, as they did his then team-mate Callum Brittain who moved to Ewood Park earlier in this window. There has been talk throughout the window of a follow-up move for Styles as well, but it’s one that Rovers have continued to pour cold water on and that remains the case on deadline day. There is a chance that Styles could move elsewhere, with teams in the Championship and overseas said to be looking at the 24-year-old. Styles has played at left wing-back, but more recently in midfield, an area of the pitch which Rovers feel they are well stocked.
  14. Nice, Hyam and JPVH should mark the end of our concerns at CB. LB and a couple of attackers then must be the priority, praying for a busy few days.
  15. I'm feeling very deflated, tired and fatigued. It's possibly due to the antibiotics i'm on, though it could be because of Rovers. Probably both, I guess. I have crippling depression, and tonsillitis.
  16. I've tried being "patience" - but i'm starting to think the same tbh! In the 6/7 days left of the window we also have a weekend in there, and a mid-week match - days of which we normally do sod all in terms of transfers. So it's more like 3/4 days. BBD is also quite likely to leave now, we'll be left with little (or no) time to replace him. We're in for a very tough season.
  17. Apparently Everton have offered just £12m for BBD, the cheeky little devils.
  18. Ahaha, I wish! No chance they'd part with him permanently, think we could blag a loan if we sell them Bezza though.
  19. Interesting to see that Villa are now looking at BBD. If they become front-runners we absolutely must bring Cameron Archer into the conversation. Every team in the league will be after loaning him, and selling them our top boy could give us the chance to gain a bit of leverage there.
  20. In saying that, BBD himself isn't a guaranteed 20 goal attacker is he? He only managed that once. Whilst he is indeed setting up nicely to get there again, the back end of last season shows how his form can dip significantly. If we're allowed to reinvest a chunk of the BBD money, I think grabbing Birmancevic from Malmo for £3-5m would be a great start. If we can then throw the bus at bringing Cameron Archer in on loan from Villa, we should be pretty damn strong in terms of attack.
