My starting XI would be; Assuming Szmodics is announced in the next 48 hours that is, failing that i'd stick Dacky in at CAM. 0-2 to the mighty blues!

From what I’ve seen of Szmodics there are similarities to Rothwell, he’s skillful and travels quickly with the ball at his feet. Things seem to suggest he may have a better end product too. 2.5m does seem steep but I really can’t see that being accurate, I’d bet it’s just over half of that with performance based add-ons as others have suggested. I honestly think he’ll be a great addition, he did well last season in a terrible side - he should thrive here with much more quality around him.

I'm unable to get even remotely excited about these "links" to Josh Bowler. Would have him here in a heartbeat don't get me wrong, just can't see it happening. I doubt we'll sign anyone even in the next week or so really... Though I like to believe that, when the signings do eventually come they will be worth the wait, and we'll all be pretty chuffed come September.

Would be great for him to feature regularly, though at this stage he would be needed should Travis take a knock. Since we're apparently looking at Brannagan there's probably an opportunity to make a deal with Oxford there, a 'sell us Brannagan and we'll loan you Garrett' sort of thing.

Respectively, i'm not sure what to make of this... but i'll ask anyway; Have you been given the names of the players? Can you at least say what position they play?

Hopefully we've got other targets lined up, if so we'd better keep it quiet... can't risk Accy Stanley catching wind and hijacking our deals.

Really starting to worry now... 11 days until our opener against QPR and still there is pretty much nothing going on regarding incomings. When Broughton and JDT came in we'd released a bunch of players already, and it seemed likely that Lenihan and Nyambe would be leaving (which they eventually did)... yet, my thinking was along the lines of "Oh well, just watch who JDT and GB bring through the door! It's gonna be signings galore around here... Scandi talent, decent frees and quality loans - we'll all soon forget about who we've lost!". My mindset has changed drastically, to say the least. Praying we have a mental couple of weeks before the season starts, we simply aren't ready at this point.

You never really know I guess, but... We were the worst team in the league for the second half of last season, and we've lost some of the better players from that group without replacing them. I think we're in for a very bumpy ride, if we can make 3/4 quality additions in the next 15 days things could be different... but really new players benefit from having time to get to know their team-mates, gaffer and to get properly integrated tactically - we're so far behind it's ridiculous.
