  1. Makes me feel a bit ill seeing him in that shirt. All the best to him, but not Derby. He’s going to have the game of his life back at Ewood for the 150th celebration game isn’t he. Sad to see him go, great player who always put 100% in for the badge. Let’s hope Barajdi is just as good if not better.
  2. Great post. That campfire analogy gave me a good chuckle. Wondering what people’s reasons are for wanting Gestede out? I know he had a bit of a bust up with fans last season, and I know he’s complicit with the Venky’s shenanigans (but they are providing his role after all). Would people still be anti-Gestede under another regime? I’m not overly pro nor anti Gestede, just curious. For what it’s worth, I think he’s doing a decent job given the circumstances.
  3. Norwich dispatched by Saints at home in the cup. Seen a couple of grumbles online for Manning out already. Hope their poor form carries into Saturday 🤞🏻
  4. Love the guy already. Feels good being a rovers fan this weekend.
  5. JDT used to do this too. Hate it. Sheff Utd away in the FA Cup springs to mind!
  6. Nah Sarge is still there and still scoring. He’s probably the best striker in the league in my opinion. They lost Sainz though, although he seemed to have fallen from both grace and form in the latter half of the season. They’ve heavily reinvested a lot of the cash from him and Rowe etc (unlike us). Unproven new signings of yet though. Not sure how this one’s going to play out. Hopefully I’ll get the bragging rights over my canary mates down here.
  7. This window is becoming… dare I say it… exciting
  8. Jesus Christ. Just finished a long drive. Was not expecting this. Get in rovers. Why am I still not confident we’ll win though? Is it a deserved scoreline?
  9. I dislike Coventry, but at least it’s not Derby. He’ll have a nice role model in Lampard too. Happy for Travis. Pissed off at this club.
  10. Don’t recommend going on their forum. They truly are an insufferable club with insufferable fans.
  11. It’s not a nailed on certainty guys 🤣 We have 45 games ahead of us and a relatively competitive squad. And a solid experienced manager. Don’t think we’re coming anywhere close to play offs obviously, but there are at least 8 clubs I wouldn’t swap our squad+manager with. As for ownership, I’d swap with the 22 (all excluding Chansiri). Too early for this!
  12. Finally a bit of optimism on the forum! I don’t have high hopes for our future under the Venky’s regime, and I think we’re going to have a tough season ahead, but I do think the doom mongering has been overblown on here. Birmingham will be tough visitors for sure, but I don’t think they’ll just roll us over as easily as some are predicting?! COYB 🔵⚪️🌹
  13. Well done guys. Brilliant effort throughout.
  14. 5 players for 3 positions. It’s a very long season, we’re light if anything. Hope we can retain all as well as picking up Barajdi.
  15. A long throw, and a team of tall physical players. Hopefully we can Gueye on the receiving end of a few.
  16. Definitely. I'm really pleased with the physicality that Val seems to be bringing. I've felt we've been a bit soft for a few years now. Miller described Val as "an intense guy who knows what he wants" in his interview on YouTube. I think he's trying to instil a tough no-nonsense attitude into the squad. He's also a bit of a big brick shithouse himself. Definitely wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of him. Really warming to him after that shaky start.
  17. Winners: Ipswich Town Auto: Saints Play Off: Norwich, Sheff Utd, Swansea, Brum Relegated: Wednesday, Charlton, Wrexham Rovers finish: 9th First Manager Change: Wednesday Prem winners: Arsenal Wild Card: Rovers to get into a big brawl at some point this season
  18. Quote from Miller: “I’m super energetic, passionate, maybe a little bit aggressive and I will give absolutely everything to get three points. At the end of the day, you have to go out there, break a few things and do whatever you can to win the game. “I will have a tendency to get forward every time we have possession and I will be up and down that line and doing everything I possibly can for this club. “I’m doing it for myself, but I know that if I play my game and help the team by doing what I do best, I know everything else will follow.” Love the guy already. Not sure if it’s by association with Brett Emerton but I’ve got a feeling he’s going to be a success at Rovers.
  19. Just watched the videos of Millar announcement etc on X. He seems like a character. Built like a brick shit house too. Don’t think he’s going to take any shit. Val’s definitely going for physical power houses.
