  1. It's not frustrating me, I'm not the one having to answer them, but it's frustrating JDT. That's the point.
  2. Not answering questions though is he, so he might as well have gone into hiding. I think you know what I meant. And it's clear they are journo's who during a transfer window will ask about transfers. That's their job. The problem is Broughton not being available to answer questions. It's clear to a blind man on a galloping horse what was going to happen, and it's just as clear JDT is getting pissed off with it.
  3. Why are Q's about transfer updates 'silly'? Every footie journo in he land asks about them. The problem at Rovers is the dysfunctional set-up whereby the bloke who should be answering them has gone into hiding, leaving JDT to answer them.
  4. There aren't many goals in that team without BBD...unless Dack become Dack again.
  5. Running commentary? No, an update, so that Q's aren't constantly directed art JDT. Because if he doesn't give an update Q's will keep on getting directed at JDT. And it's fairly clear JDT is getting annoyed by them. And JDT should not be accounting for Broughton's failures in the transfer window.
  6. What can they do though? They have every right to ask the questions because the fans want to know. The problem is that Broughton (apparently) has said he won't talk about transfers until the transfer window has shut. If he won't give interviews then the media will keep asking the questions of the people who will i.e. JDT. Broughton needs to man up and give an update. It doesn't have to be in-depth. Problem solved.
  7. profit normally, but obvs I have no idea really....the 10-15% came from Sharpe I think...he said it was much much lower than the 45% sell-on that was the AA deal, basically because we paid a lot up front for BBD so his sell-on was much lower.
  8. £10m wouldn't even buy his fine china collection.
  9. Caveat to pre-empt the curmudgeons - these are his highlights and they obviously don't represent a full & balanced view of his all-round abilities.
  10. Not surprising. You can see how organised we are and how deep the whole team drop when we don't have the ball. Against Hartlepool in open play Dack was on the edge of his own 6 yard box. It must be very hard for the opposition to play against.
  11. What price BBD if we somehow got him nailed down on to a long-term contract.
  12. Never heard of him but he's a midfielder according to Wiki, and has 2 years left on his contract. Is he any good?
  13. Thank you, kind sir.
  14. Sorry if I've missed it but how many tickets have we got for Bradford?
  15. Paul Downing had the turning circle of a large oil tanker.
  16. Lode of bollox, he's already looking for houses in Langho.
  17. Not strictly true. AA and/or SG had to take a pay cut to come to Ewood. And like I said, if they really want him they could blow us out of the water financially.
  18. The point is they're capable of offering him a lot more than us, if they really want him.
  19. Cheers...might be something in it then if there's an emotional connection to the club.
  20. Is Phil Jones a Rovers fan? I know he went to school in Leyland but wasn't sure who he supported?
  21. How would a 'pay cut' work when Phil Jones is under contract!? Or are they just going to cancel his Utd contract? Or is it just complete bullshit? Hmmm...
  22. I'd hope AP does sign up and spend 2 or 3 years with us developing as a footballer. The stability issue is a good point. London may be a bit of a head scrambler for a 17 year old who wasn't brought up there. He also might not develop to the same standard if he's playing Spurs U23 games for the next couple of seasons. He would be training with Kane and Son of course but they are no BBD and Dack! Hopefully he just concentrates on his football here and Rovers reward him with a contract that befits his new status. I'm presuming the pro deal that was agreed in principle 12 months ago might be looking a bit on the light side now he's made his debut in the league!
  23. We should rename Ewood the Ash Phillips Arena, give him £100k a week and make Dack his chauffeur.
