I can see Mowbray and Venus being introduced to the OT crowd sometime in October. -

Guesses for the middle row: Citeh player is a Brightwell? Norwich = Rob Newman? Spurs is Gordon Durie. Sheff Utd = Michael Tonge? No idea on the Coventry player. No idea on Arsenal player. -
Getting in the play-offs in the Championship isn't some unattainable target that is only the preserve of the parachute-money clubs. Barnsley/Luton/Hudds proved that in the last couple of years. We nearly proved it until Mowbray did his annual post-Christmas meltdown. Mowbray's 3 month success last year that took us to 2nd spot was built on strong defence. If the 3 matches this season are in any way indicative then JDT appears to play a system that is hard to score against. (The 'low block' and how well it worked in pre-season was referenced by one of the players a few weeks ago - can't remember who). If that remains true for the season then the play-offs are well within our sights (as they are for any team who can keep regaular-ish clean sheets). Talk of 3 year plans is therefore redundant. Barnsley's manager took them from the relegation zone in October when he took over, to the play-offs 8 months later. He did that with a couple of additions in January. Their squad was inferior to ours. If the manager is good enough in the Championship then success can be very quick. It's a very competitive league where practically anyone can make the play-offs. We have good players. What we're short of is numbers, and hopefully that will be rectified in the next few weeks. Play-offs should absolutely be the target this season, with or without BBD.

1-0 down to Elton's boys. I think it's going to be a long, long time before they're back in the Prem.

Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

I've thought exactly the same, especially with the interview he did with Clem on the BBC. JDT predicted the next question and Clem said something along the lines of 'i'll just let you interview yourself' and JDT just said 'exactly' 🤣 -

I may be reading to much into this but what he says about Rovers fans paying 'a lot' of money to watch Rovers was quite telling. It was as if he knows it's too much but didn't want to say it too loud in case Waggott heard! 😉 Great interview though. He comes across as passionate and single-minded. -
