Very strange behaviour. Mowbray said to a chap off here who met him (can't remember who) that he had players lined up but couldn't sign cos Venky's refused the Rothwell money.

Spurs could offer him £30k a week, and him and his mum a big posh house in London. They could probably do that off the proceeds from the micro-brewery they have at their new ground! If it's 1st team football he wants he'll just get Spurs to send him on loan. The only reason he's stay here is if his family like it Oop north and he loves the mighty Rovers.

If he keeps playing as he is then that figure may go up in the next few weeks. What was the minimum Venky's would have accepted for Rothwell BTW? They scuppered Mowbray's transfer plans in Jan by all accounts by refusing to sell for £3m.

Be interesting if someone bids for BBD and JDT is happy to take the money as he has a few others lined up....and then Venky's do a 'Rothwell' and refuse to sell.

The quality of those goals is really, really encouraging - quick one and two touch passes and clinical strikes. It's also encouraging just how many men we get forward (the front 4 essentially) when at times under Mowbray there'd be a lone figure up front (if that).

Brittain and Phillips should be fit so same again....unless we manage to get a CB in by Wednesday. Might be worth giving Dack/Morton/Dolan a start to rest some weary bodies, but in JDT we trust!
