  1. Buckley and jrc were prominent in last years promo and both got very limited minutes
  2. Whilst nothing is guaranteed it’s fair to say there’s a good chance he will make a massive impact and if Birmingham go up price is irrelevant
  3. The next signings depend on club responses - this is peak journalism right there
  4. Beck is raw and has a good future but best full back in the championship last season is a stretch injured too much
  5. Whilst I do agree we need to wait and see I do question the part of you saying if our 4 best players leave we have players that can play at this level…..playing and competing at this level are two different things if all 4 were to go and not adequately replaced we will most certainly be down towards the bottom…just like two seasons ago
  6. They would yes with plenty of options (as of now) but freak injuries and form needs considered. If rovers are fighting relegation or are indeed relegated that interest may not be as forthcoming
  7. I know someone here mentioned before about losing out on bonus payments etc but if I were any of the 3 I’d sit down and either accept or decline the offer. If I’m declining then I’d hand in a transfer request. Why wouldn’t they? Taking the chance on playing another season here to risk injury or really poor form which could lead to less interest next season i doubt by putting in a transfer request the money they could potentially lose out on is ground breaking and could easily be made back with their new wage at a new club
  8. Definitely not - one year left on contract worked with Eustace last year ….i still stand by that football insider wouldn’t be a source I’d have much confidence in. Time will tell
  9. Most of his posts are after news has broken from official sources.
  10. Football insider is up there with one of the worst sources in football
  11. And there lies the problem one is 25 years old peak age captain of his club with 170 odd senior appearances the other less than 40 senior appearances majority from the bench which one do we pursue…..it’s a money game and it’s very obvious
  12. No of course not but he’s accepted a role knowing and willingly given our history and in particular our last two managers. It’s not hard to understand every manager will think they are the one to change the fortunes of the club or they are the one to change the culture….until they arent so no Iv zero sympathy for any manager who takes over the club because they should know what has been happening
  13. But again how can he be surprised? The JDT saga was played out in the media to the point he was essentially gagged. JE leaving again a team in playoff to a team in relegation val would/should have done his research on rovers it’s all there to find so he would and should have been wary as to what he was walking into. Manager out of work just want back into work
  14. Yes you can he knows what he’s walked into no sympathy at all. It’s actually a win win for any manager. Come in collect a wage do well you will be sought after and leave. Do poorly itl be on the club regardless
  15. So he was bought for 1million by Aberdeen has 3 more years left on the contract is 22 and performed reasonably well and you think they are going to sell for 1million? Not happening
  16. Yea Gueye is very raw I am concerned how he fits into a typical Val team but he seems well liked and there could be more in him having experience helps no doubt about it
  17. You don’t and certainly a lot of the punts may not come off…but some do on tronstad and Ohashi - not saying they all will but when they do they are actually very good players Ohashi came mid season expecting a lot more this season
  18. Batth for one year is a criminal loss on rovers part - no excuses I defended and still do that I wouldn’t have offered him two years but losing him to sign one year elsewhere is disgraceful
  19. The Sunderland player has a lot of talent and I certainly wouldn’t be turning my nose up at him especially at the price
  20. Don’t see why it wouldn’t be him…chance to play in champ likely to be living in or near London and a stepping stone (if he’s good enough) for a bigger move
  21. My view is quite simple your making it complex to suit your narrative I’m simply saying that I think Dolan and his agent thought more ‘bigger’ teams would be interested in his services. And as of now (could easily change) it’s only Derby who seem serious….thats all im saying nothing more nothing less
  22. Again missing the point but we will leave it there as it’s going nowhere
