  1. 100% a combination of that along with not having done too much over the summer etc it’s just unfortunate…not great for us mind you but don’t think there’s a big conspiracy behind it
  2. Aerobic testing normally happens in the early days so they have something to compare to mid pre season and then again I’d assume right at the start of the season its just unlucky
  3. It isn’t an exact science like if it is hamstring (just guessing at this stage) you could do all your tests and they come up yes fine but when your running you could overstretch it on a turn or a stride where it’s classed as a ‘strain’ same with groin and quad injuries just happen - there’s no conspiracy to it
  4. More likely to happen early in pre season after being off for weeks Unfortunately it just happens
  5. Yes because you didn’t read my post jumped in and realised you were wrong. Good man
  6. If true I’d say it’s feasible could be hamstring issue in the runs
  7. Re read and come back to me…I said it was a more positive season than the one before
  8. Thinks it common all over we just obviously care more for rovers than anybody else but most teams are getting increased injuries as you have alluded to though most other teams cover that we seem to struggle so we will def need to look at that
  9. Because there’s more demand now rightly or wrongly game is much faster and generally more fitness related as opposed to technical
  10. All that fancy testing is the norm in all clubs happens everywhere
  11. Oh they 100% are just wondering if that injury might stall anything (wishful thinking)
  12. Could be a blessing force their hand in not selling trav
  13. As did on average the whole of the league people here really really missing the point last summer many here said no szmodics equalled relegation as there was no way we could replace his goals nobody could replace 27 goals but what we did was find ways to no be a one man team and having every contribute a bit more than the season before and to me 7 short of that plus 13 points and 12 places better off is a huge success theres a million and one things to be depressed about supporting rovers but to try and push a negative onto a positive season (in comparison to the one before) is just crazy
  14. No way we’re paying 2/3million up front but I don’t see the problem in not if we get the player in. If they don’t play prem/champ ever that automatically means they are unproven he’s an international (albeit lesser country) with Europa league and conference league experience and going by interest from other clubs he would be a solid option
  15. No that wasn’t the point at all that’s a separate issue entirely I agree about failed windows and letting players contracts run down etc but to say attacking wise we didn’t resolve that but yet had a better season as Iv stated was/is irrelevant
  16. Yes it was generally settled 10 of the starting 11 were the same for those last 6 games
  17. There was approx 130 less goals this season than last over the division the top two scorers last season was 27 / 21 this season 19/18 if people want to argue pure black and white we scored 7 less then fine as statistically that is correct but today we didn’t fill that void is wrong - we filled it in other ways other players increasing their goal tally or their assist tally. Defensively improved massively taking the heat off the players up top arguing this point to me is silly because when you do significantly better for me it’s irrelevant
  18. Or we could have beat teams heavier than what we did and still got on the same points….its irrelevant the facts are we did better
  19. Yes the same batth that the majority of folk on here this time last year slated and didn’t want…we can’t predict what’s going to happen many many fans thought once Sammie left we were doomed but we weren’t that’s the point we filled the void in different ways….its still filling the void
  20. We did 7 goals over the course of a season isn’t much. Was a way bigger spread across the team as opposed to Sammie pretty much alone. Would we want it to be better? Of course who wouldn’t but the team became more balanced hence the higher position and more points
  21. And yet we finished 12 places higher and 13 points more….
  22. Allegedly…these reports aren’t fro verified sources so I’d 100% take them with a pinch of salt. jackson reported today in his update regarding left sided centre back and was no mention of this lad whatsoever
  23. Agree with most but I don’t think Val is a yes man
