Perfectly fine integrating him in giving him minutes and the odd start but shouldn’t be the first replacement

The problem with having someone similar to Ohashi is the lack of plan b. If/when teams figure us out we need something different to change things. Gueye is that player involved in 12 of our 63 goals. You are right about some ‘assists’ I don’t think they should be classed as such but at the same time the equaliser away to Leeds he got no credit for his big part so evens itself out. If we can get another 5/6 goal contributions out of him taking him to 15-20 that’s decent for a back up player

Gueye isn’t for everyone I def think he’s worth another go second season. Now used to the game the environment he’s likely a lot more settled. He doesn’t come across to be a player that’s going to get 15-20goals but if his goal attributions hit around that with assists included he’s certainly a plan b option. He’s obviously not in the mould of a szmodics or an Armstrong or even a Diaz but their first seasons goal wise were poor for us and just improved. Doesn’t mean gueyes will but there’s hope/history of it

Near 8million in the last year of his contract is crazy money if he recovers the form of two years ago could be key signing but he’s playing with a lesser team and a significantly lesser manager. Jury’s out at that price

Very hard to say you would probably have to put him behind Brittain at this stage given he’s no championship experience - so better the devil you know sort of thing but good age still a lot to learn and can improve on and a bit more versatile hard comparison but if pushed cal at the this stage a better right back but he wouldn’t be a massive downgrade
