  1. Yes but the point I’m making is it’s the exact same scenario we lost szmodics and brought in unproven foreign players - which for the overall team worked out better it’s not proven that will be the case again but to continuously say we will struggle when last season is proof that it won’t necessarily be the case is just strange to me
  2. Scroll on forever blue. If it’s not directed at you or concerns you then you have no reason to be involved
  3. Something which was completely wrong. I will do thanks
  4. It’s occurred near 3 times a season on average for the last 10 years - not rare what’s rare is a a striker scoring 30 plus. Hope that helps
  5. Think we define the term rare differently your bottom paragraph is better phrased - relatively small percent certainly not ‘rare’ as per seen in your own stats
  6. The theory or thinking behind it is they are on pittance to begin with so getting an early contract of 4 year say on about 5/6k per week significantly more than what they would be on. In the hope they flourish and we can demand a reasonable fee
  7. Yes that’s the annoying thing as a fan if the model is to work the money must be reinvested correctly not a very small portion of it
  8. I think the aim is they sign for less than the structure early and if/when they fulfill their potential they are sold on for decent fees. That’s the aim
  9. Really? Define rare pretty sure over the last 5/6 seasons there’s been a good few players hitting 20 goals plus
  10. He would be safer going to Arsenal then getting a loan elsewhere
  11. That’s a myth aimed directly at a player because he was leaving when a team wasn’t performing well he scored 14 goals that season 4/5 assists in the same position Dolan played for us Dolan last season season 7 goals 6 assists 5 goals and 3 assists came from end of Jan onwards so where was he the first 6 months? argument has to work both ways
  12. It’s just funny how Diaz did the same thing (went to way more established team too btw) was called everything under the sun Dolan does it and it’s fair play tye hope you smash it - mental
  13. I see people saying espanyol are a mid table la liga side - they aren’t they are and have been this last 5/6 seasons a yo yo team have been relegated and promoted and the two times they have stayed up has been on the last day it can be dressed up whatever way it suits people I’m basing my judgement off his own interview and the Turkish president comments. If a team constantly fighting relegation in la liga is his ambition fair play but I stand my ground that he’s went to where is offering him the most money - Turkish president said he wanted a prem move nobody was interested good luck to him and his now burnely ties
  14. He’s went to who was willing to pay him the highest wages let’s get it right. All his talk of ambition etc was hot air burnely sister club to boot
  15. This isn’t about tradition - you listen and watch the experts talk about the 6 role the 8 role pivots etc it’s now deemed a defensive midfielder yes sorry he’s a natural midfielder who can play right back like jrc
  16. modern day jargon or not a number 6 in today’s game isn’t necessarily a centre back I’d say it’s best described as a holding midfielder they haven’t ruled out playing him in his natural position - right back so he can be an option as holding mid or a right back if/when required
  17. Agreed it can’t really be called a failure yet because he’s still under contract at spurs and could have a great season this season and break through next season But you can look at who spurs have there in Romero van de ven dragusin danso gray all of a great age profile and under contract for a good while so it will take some step up. Other variables are he was signed by ange likely with a clear plan for him Frank might have other ideas or even other targets he’s a big fan of Collins so its one of them ones until he’s left spurs we won’t really know - I just think spurs wasn’t the right club for him
  18. We aren’t going to agree and nothing can be proved it’s all ifs buts and maybes i I just personally think spurs was the wrong footballing move for him I think he could have got maybe a lesser name than spurs but a better chance at playing prem football if he had of stuck around another year or two made his name here (I rate/rated him highly enough to become our starting cb) spurs clearly didn’t they played a cm in Archie gray at cb at 19 in his position I think that says a lot good luck to him though glad he’s getting the game time
  19. Whilst I agree in footballing terms not much has come of it as Iv mentioned above but for spurs it’s not pointless if they make a decent profit on him
  20. But we didn’t sign batth the season before and with Phillips here likely wouldn’t have needed to or at least wouldn’t have been a priority
  21. Yes players in teams that are normally challenging in the playoff region are normally more sought after than those playing in relegation teams or mid table mediocrity im not fixating on it im making a point he could have got let’s say another 10/15 champ appearances (something your fixating on) as opposed to u21 football we arent going to agree on this for me spurs wasn’t the right club at the time for him I said it at the time and nothing has changed my mind since. Financially I’m sure he’s better off no doubt
  22. So they are guessing then? Wonder what odds Luton were for relegation last season or Sunderland for promotion. Like you said not gospel and outside of parachute clubs they are just guessing
