  1. I would hope WATR asked probing questions before agreeing to the joint statement. I don’t rate Waggott in the slightest, I think he’s a dreadful CEO, but it really would be a sad day if he has chosen to lie about something so fundamental.
  2. ‘Gregg’s gone’ would have been less insulting!
  3. So further funding not dependant on the court case in August. It offers a glimmer of hope that there could be a semblance of a transfer budget this summer.
  4. I can’t post links for some reason but just found an LT article from April 4th (titled ‘Blackburn Rovers CEO sheds more light on Venkys funding’) it quotes 'We Are THe Rovers’ website as saying there is no further impediment to Venkys providing funding going forward as long as it’s met with an equivalent bond (paraphrasing). There is nothing about that arrangement being dependant on the court case in August.
  5. The only way the club can progress is to reinvest a portion of player sales into new players who will make the team stronger. Using player sales to keep the lights on will only end one way - a well lit club in L2.
  6. So the £5m Raya money is going to be swallowed up by running costs, just like the first installment of the Wharton money?
  7. Sam Barnes being released according to Jackson
  8. We spent money last summer when we had no budget so it’s not much of a punt to say we’ll spend after selling Wharton and profiting from Raya.
  9. Article in Lancs Telegraph saying there is budget and that we will spend.
  10. Jackson saying delay to season tickets is waiting for sign-off on ‘finer details’ in India
  11. There’s a Ryan Gauld who plays in Canada, was once dubbed the Scottish Messi. I remember him leaving a Scottish club at a young age to play for Sp Lisbon or similar, but didn’t know he’d ended up in Toronto till I just looked it up. Think he’s a winger
  12. Oh yeah, thanks, I should have read the original post properly!
  13. What was our cheapest last season? What’s ongoing mean? Renewals?
  14. That reminds me of the time my wife came at me with a strap on.
  15. I think that was him diplomatically telling us to fuck off.
  16. I thought Rudy was following Waggott round as he wanted to get into the admin/director/CEO side of football. I’d be amazed if he was Our new DoF.
  17. It’s a strange one really. The first 6 months of JDTs reign we got quite a few 1-0 wins at home because we’d nick a goal then sit deep. It was always odd to hear he didn’t have a Plan B when he could clearly set the team up to defend well. For the next 12 months he went to his Plan A which was open attacking football. We were 6th in Nov/Dec time then it fell apart due to injuries/JDT stubbornness/player unhappiness. Eustace has come in and reverted to JDTs Plan B. He’s good at setting up the defensive side but it’s clear he can’t hold a candle to JDT in regard to playing good football and playing through teams. He was also seen as a counterattacking manager at Brum so I doubt he’s going to come in and play expansive sexy football. But as Howard Kendall knew you build a successful team on a solid defence. If we can get a few attackers in with pace in the summer we could do ok next season. I don’t think Eustace is as eusless as he’s being made out to be, but time will tell…
  18. I’d imagine he was fairly embarrassed having to return to Orlando after saying his goodbyes to them. If he has an equivalent offer from elsewhere then you’d think he’d take it.
  19. Imagine there’s no countries, it isn’t hard to do nothing to kill or die for and no Euros too🎵
  20. I don’t blame him for not being keen on signing. The administrators at our club are an embarrassment.
  21. He looks really good going forward, quick and an excellent crosser of a ball. Plays like an old fashioned winger. If we play wing backs next season he could be a real asset. Not sure he’s good enough defensively to play as a full back in a back 4.
