  1. Apples and oranges. The riverside holds about 5k now. Back in the day the riverside terrace alone probably held double that at least.
  2. What’s Jackson saying about the shock exit? Can only see the LT headline. He mentions a power struggle?
  3. I thought Waggott leaving at the end of the season had been rumoured for a while? The statement suggests a falling out but my impression was there was a boardroom split with Waggott against Rudy/Pasha. Again, just my impression, but Rudy appears far more anti-fanbase than Waggott. I wasn’t a fan of Waggott, but I’m not sure this is the positive that people think it is. I think what’s left behind could be far worse.
  4. How many could they get on the Riverside Terrace back then?
  5. Correct. They’ve reduced the amount Billionaires have to pay in a bond. There is no impediment. Glad you’ve finally grasped it!
  6. There isn’t an impediment, they choose not to fund us because they don’t want to pay the bond. It’s a simple choice that Billionaires have made to save a few million.
  7. People telling young kids how they should think about football shirts and club loyalty is very funny. I had a white West Ham away kit when I was 10 cos my mum got it cheap in the sale from a sports shop. I loved that shirt. I also had the Southampton away shirt around the same time. This was the early 80s. Football kits are fascinating to football obsessed young lads. &nbsp Lighten up 😉
  8. There’s nothing more cringe than a battle of the superfans😉
  9. I’m fully invested in following AW’s career. He seems a very unassuming, likeable lad who also happens to be a very very good footballer. Most importantly, he’s also a Rovers fan. Cant wait to see how he gets on. Apologies if that makes me a bit ‘cringe’.
  10. Peter O’Rourke linking us with an 18 year old Right Back called Tristan Rowe on loan from Aston Villa. Our cup runneth over….
  11. Thanks, my old man was going to get one but can only make Saturday 3pm games really. Even at Senior prices in the JWU that makes it north of £40 a game. He’s not bothering.
  12. Henderson was the one who lost it in front of the BBE when he was playing for Shrewsbury in our promotion from L1 season. Epic tantrum
  13. Out of interest, how many Saturday 3pm league games were there last season at Ewood?
  14. Oh right see what you mean. I can’t imagine they’d stoop so low as to blatantly deceive the fan base on matters of fact. Then again….
  15. Dolan’s grown on me this season. I think he’s learning more about playing to his strengths. He is a goal threat and he is capable of putting in some really good crosses. His pressing and work rate are excellent. His weakness is losing possession too easily, either through trying to be too clever, trying to run his man on the outside, or poor quality passes. We got him on a free and have probably been paying him peanuts. He’s been a really good signing based on that alone.
  16. I think he meant what club he’s going to, not what social function.
  17. Apologies if I’m missing something but why would that be the clubs angle? That guidance quote has them bang to rights. Supporting women’s football has no impact on FFP.
  18. Do you accept you were wrong about the 3000 minutes?
  19. There’s an article in the Guardian today on the Rovers women’s team and funding issues, if someone can link it in here.
  20. Doesn’t surprise me. He’s got a lot of potential. Newcastle were heavily linked a couple of seasons back.
  21. It’s just opinions really. DS could go on to be a top Championship defender. If the club agree they’ll sign him on that basis.
  22. If the idea is to get ‘assets’ into the club then Sanderson fits the bill. If they can get him for £1m and flog Hyam for £1m then it fits the ‘project’ as DS has bigger potential re-sale value. He’ll also be on less wage than Hyam.
