  1. Strange you’re focussed on the symptoms not the disease. The reason the circus exists is because of the owners. Venkys aren’t some benevolent invested owners being held back by shitty operators at Ewood. Venkys are the reason why we have shitty operators at Ewood. The owners need to go now. That should be the only focus.
  2. Try to be more grateful. It if wasn’t for the overseas hedge fund who own the cinema selling the cinema’s car park to fund more shit films, there wouldn’t be a cinema. Ingrate!
  3. Seen Norwich, Rangers and Celtic linked with Dolan.
  4. I now expect Batth and Travis to sign 10 year contracts at Rovers within the next week
  5. I think the charge is they bought Neville’s house with money they said was being sent over for use in their poultry business.
  6. I’ve been saying this for a while. There’s no impediment if they can send money. Some have never quite grasped that part. The funny thing is by parroting the same nonsense the fans who haven’t quite grasped it are actually protecting Venkys. The reality is Venkys are choosing not to send money. Nobody is stopping them. There is no impediment. They are choosing to cover costs when they have to and nothing else. THAT IS A CHOICE!
  7. Stats on a player being able to win a header are fairly meaningless if the player has limited technique and the ball ends up travelling in a different direction than intended.
  8. Yet we had a very good record when Gally played iirc. Causation vs Correlation.
  9. If VI implements the aggressive, more attacking style he apparently favours then the forwards should hopefully get more chances to make an impact next season. JE took a very cautious approach and we hardly flooded the box when attacking. The likes of Ohashi and Gueye could fare a lot better next season, especially as they’ll now be properly acclimatised to EFL football.
  10. Last summers transfer thread should see you right
  11. Potentially yes, but rational discussion has long left the building.
  12. That’s already begun courtesy of Jackson’s story today. Both Weimann and Batth have links to the midlands.
  13. Which has nothing to do with what I posted. And the people upset we are going to lose Batth and Weimann are the same people who were upset we were signing them last summer😉
  14. ‘No chance we’re re-signing/signing him’ You say the same every summer/Jan about every player we are linked with and then claim you were right😉 You’re bound to be right about some!
  15. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are plans to sell either Hyam or Carter.
  16. And they’ve said they’ll sign attackers. So we’ll wait and see how far the budget stretches. Ohashi has shown there are bargains out there and he may be even better next season. Kargbo may be a revelation next season. A quality right winger and another striker and we could have a quick, effective strike force.
  17. you’re also discounting the fact Batth is a Eustace signing and VI plays a different way. VI is a lot less rigid in his set up and doesn’t sit as deep. Batth may not be quite as effective in a team where the CBs are expected to be a bit more dynamic and cover a bit more ground. Who knows, Batth and Hyam may not start the season as first choice CB’s. It may well be Carter and someone new. All food for thought. New manager, new ideas, new tactics, new players. It’s not as simple as saying the defence is good, attack bad!
  18. That’s hilarious considering the tedious number of arguments we all have to sit thru between you and Chaddy, which are the dictionary definition of point scoring and pedantry. Back to the football and we have no idea what this CB will cost and how it impacts the rest of the budget. You’re just guessing.
  19. They don’t have to spend much money to sign people on loan or on frees. We’ll certainly sign some attackers. The question will be if they’re any good.
  20. Maybe they can get the attacking players they want plus the LCB. Unless you know different?
  21. They want a LCB. They’ve only got 1 and nobody knows when/if he’ll be back up to scratch to the play in the Championship. So signing a LCB is clearly going to be a priority for a club that wants to sign a LCB. He may even be our best CB. Who knows, certainly not you or I.
  22. Strange criticism. They told us they wanted a LCB, and it looks like they’re going to get one.
