It’s the players he has available, not the tactics. We’ve had a lot of ball in good positions that gets wasted by the usual suspects.

Hedges and Dolan both lack quality. Both are a waste of time as attackers. At least Dolan gets involved. Hedges is a complete waste of space.

Dolan is utter wank when he has time to think.

We’ve actually played some good stuff. Unfortunately all our attacks fizzle out at the feet of either Hedges or Dolan.

I know it was a Rovers signing,and I know who is on the committee thanks, but the initial recommendation would have been made by one of them, and we were told that Gestede knows the French and Belgian markets. So putting 2 and 2 together….

Exactly this. If he’d attacked one of those crosses in particular he’d have had a fairly easy chance to score.

I think Eustace had seen enough yesterday when, out of frustration, Gueye ran 30 yards to close down the left back and tried to clean him out. Luckily their lad was too quick for him and he missed. It would possibly have been a sending off. Still early days but Gueye doesn’t look up to scratch. The turn and boot out of play on the halfway line when he could have just laid it off ten yards summed him up really. He’s desperate to impress but makes poor decisions. If he was a Gestede signing then hopefully Geatede is removed from the transfer committee!

Hedges, Weimann and Gueye are all L1 standard as attackers. Until that area of the pitch is addressed we’ll continue to fire blanks.

It was a good away performance, Watford rarely threatened. Two terrible misses from Weimann and Hyam meant we didn’t win. A terrible decision from the ref meant we lost. We’re a couple of quality attackers away from being a good team.

Playing 2 up top these days would be quite revolutionary.

Watford are as good at home as we are bad away. They’ve not lost, we’ve not won. Home banker you’d have thought. But what if……

Good post. Totally different approach to the game, but both good managers in their own right. I thought some of the football under JDT was the best I’ve ever seen from a purely technical point of view whilst watching Rovers. He is clearly a very gifted coach. Eustace is more a clean sheet merchant who accumulates points along the way. I make it 10 or 11 clean sheets from the last 20 league games. Very impressive. Going forward we’re like a pub team at times in comparison to JDTs brand of football, but maybe that will change as he gets better players in forward positions. Let’s hope Eustace gets more support from the clowns above him than JDT ever did.

Another clean sheet (4 in a row at home?) and a decent point. It isn’t pretty at times, but to be 6th with 19pts after 11 games is a terrific effort.
