  1. He might use ‘positive’ tactics away and lose every match, not even get draws. Maybe it’s not as simple as just blaming the tactics.
  2. So you rate 3 of the 4 attacking options. We’re going up!
  3. As Sharpe rightly points out in his latest piece, the only surprise about the low numbers of adult ST sales is that club are surprised by the low number of adult ST sales. They are completely out of touch.
  4. Dolan is a homer. He’ll play well against Swansea.
  5. That’s not how the PL are reporting it on the BBC website
  6. Good and bad runs are pretty much the norm in the Championship for most clubs. WBA were in the top 3 after 5 or 6 games, they’ve now not won in 3. Two defeats in a row on the road is not really cause for alarm. If our home form also turns to shit then it is time to panic!
  7. Jack Clarke, who they signed from Sunderland late in the window, is the one who is playing instead of him. Clarke is a better wide midfielder/winger, which is where they were playing Szmodics.
  8. What the club needs more than anything right now is a critical friend.
  9. Hedges stats speak for themselves. He contributes very little from an attacking perspective. One goal a year ago doesn’t change that. He’s a good footballer though, and he works hard. I can see why Eustace picks him in that regard, but he just doesn’t offer enough goals or assists to make him a good attacking option in the Championship.
  10. Eustace won’t change, he’s said himself that he prioritises clean sheets. His team set up reflects this. Out of the last 19 league games we’ve kept 9 clean sheets. If we repeat that over the next 19 games we’ll pick up enough points to be comfortably mid table. The worry for me is that the defence has too many individuals who are capable of giving a goal away out of nothing. Hyam’s jump for the 2nd goal is a case in point, and I’m not sure a fairly soft header should beat the keeper so easily. It looked a bizarre goal to concede. I just think he needs to freshen things up. This break has come at a good time. Hopefully it means players like ACD and Cantwell can get properly fit. The football is becoming turgid again, which is unsurprising given the players he picked to start the game yesterday. Those front 4 offer very little in the way of pace or flair, which is vital away from home if you’re trying to soak up pressure and hit on the break. We also don’t have Sammie’s clinical finishing anymore. Good start to the season though overall, and 3 of the next 4 are at home, albeit against strong opposition. Eustace is doing a good job with the resources available.
  11. It’s early days for Gueye, and he has to adjust to English football etc but I’ve never seen a professional footballer strike a ball as badly as he does. He drags every shot.
  12. They are the 3 with the most quality without a doubt
  13. 2 shit results but not unexpected. It’s a tough league. Good start to the season though. Regroup and get some of our better quality players like ACD and Cantwell fit and firing. We also need our full backs available again.
  14. Not watching it but I presume taking off our L1 strike force has made a difference?
  15. That’s the first and last time that will ever be said😉
  16. You’re always going to struggle with a L1 forward line.
  17. No surprise, as the more knowledgeable posters advised Plymouth have some very good attackers. We can only dream of having the quality of their front 3. Their scorer cost Burnley £4m.
  18. Even on the motorway it’s 300 miles. Incredible effort.
  19. Let’s hope the luck evens out
