Limited players need simple instructions and a great motivator, preferably with tactical acumen and good game management. Over to you, Rudy... -

Make that podcast appearance worth anything, Mr. Gestede! -

Sidnei Tavares is not the new Nzonzi. De Neve is not the amalgamation of Le Saux and Wilcox. We are in a relegation battle due to Rudy Gestede et al. and their dealings, including their choice of managers. -

We need someone who can save us from being relegated. No fancy ideas. No planning for the long term. No exciting young (or old!) continental name. Our squad is of dubious quality and, for sure, drained of confidence. It will be a battle until the end. -

This is like signing Dennis and Woodrow. Only worse. -

So we have waited until the 1st of February to sign a player that is NOT up to speed? Somebody should ask Valerien Ismael some very hard questions tomorrow. Let's see if he still comes across as 'understanding'. -

18 months could be a reflection of the worst quadruple in football (Pasha, Gestede, Owen, Ismael) starting to grow some self-knowledge? Since their transfer track record is 1 in 10, we'd better not tie them down for too long. -

Horrible signing. Portsmouth signing proven Championship-quality players while we're signing nomadic players and Birmingham rejects might well be the difference between staying up and going down. -

Nixon describes the target as 'bizarre', which probably means it's either Ronaldinho or another De Neve. -

The issue with Leonard was that we sold him rather than proceeding with the initial loan agreement. End of. -

Since the recent past has been brought up, I am at least glad to learn that Mr Fax Machine himself has found his level: https://www.solihullmoorsfc.co.uk/news/posts/moors-appoint-new-club-secretary/ -

Cleary and Cadamarteri would've been nice...and the only place we are 'nice' at the moment is towards the opponent, defending our own box on set pieces. -

To be fair, Nixon reckons we're putting in a bid for Danny Cardamarteri. Should be able to meet the valuation on him. I'm not against it, even though his goalscoring record is quite bad, and I would much prefer it if we went back for Yakubu. -
Val's 'stay in the game' tactics is simply brilliant!

At least the players did not turn up! Venkys out!

It’s fascinating that some people give Ismael any kind of slack on the basis that we have injured players. As many have pointed out, the injury situation is linked to a number of factors, many of which could largely have been addressed. But let’s look at yesterday’s starting XI. Toth – Don’t come here and tell me Pears’ injury absence means anything. TGH – Ismael signing O’Riordan – Brought back instead of buying someone. McLoughlin – Ismael signing Atcheson – Started ahead of Cashin, an Ismael signing Powell – Starts ahead of Henriksson, an Ismael signing Tronstad – Starts every match Baradji – Ismael’s star signing, a formidable footballer who “has everything”, according to Val Doherty – Starts ahead of De Neve, Ismael signing Ohashi – Always starts under Ismael Jørgensen – Ismael signing, his number one striker target since the summer Dante placed arrogant people between the 3rd and 9th circles of his Inferno, and I think Ismael and Gestede should at the very least be sent there. The way they have destroyed a football team could be said to be without parallel in Rovers’ history, but as we all know, it has been done before during the last 15 years of mismanagement. Kudos to the BBC reporter yesterday who tried to get Ismael to answer some difficult questions. The way Ismael (did not) respond belongs nowhere. He is, like the rest of the snakes, completely contemptible. BOYCOTT! -

After our transfer dealings in the summer, I predicted we would be in a relegation fight, but, unlike the last time around, the problem is that not many will look at this squad and think, "yes, I can save them!" I can think of a couple who are crazy enough and good managers, but unfortunately, most of those who believe they can save us will just be crazy. -

He made the list and he is aligned. He is not our smallest or biggest problem. He is part of THE ONE PROBLEM called Venkys.
