  1. also sounds like their keeper has made a few decent saves from Savage and Tugay this half
  2. Even if its not our preferred lineup (due to Nelsen and Reid being hurt) its still so very nice to have a "regular" squad, the only major change we've been having to the starting lineup from game to game, is Nonda vs. Roberts up front.
  3. Any one who is overly confident going into an away game in Europe is begging to be upset.
  4. I didn't check, did I draw you this year? I'm wilderness wanderers FC
  5. Wouldn't hold my breath based on the other English clubs that did advance....
  6. Doesn't stop anyone else, why let it stop you?
  7. By the way, the first line on the eurosport internet coverage has me filled with dread!!!! "Match underway at Ewood Park - refereed by Joao Francisco Lopes Ferreira, who is banned from officiating in the Portuguese league but allowed by UEFA. Interesting."
  8. how 'bout the boys just win the match and we don't have to worry about counting away goals! oh, and my excuse for not attending.. The fact that I'm working and there are 5 time zones between me and the match.
  9. Looks like promotion to div 4 in USA is all but certain for me this season. Currently perfect on points, with a GD of at least +21 (can't remmber if that was before or after the latest win). and there's really only 1 other team that can beat me, and I play him last game of the season. Unfortuantely, in order to comepete in Div 4, I'm going to have to be near perfect in my financial management this season with new buys, since I'm trying to siton some $$ for interest, and my one planned trainee sale might not be enough to strengthen all the parts I'll need (new coach, an actual defence, and one more IM). Hopefully I get a weak div 4.
  10. Wow, if that's not an invitation for a flame war, I'm not sure what is. Once again pleasure is taking the focus of a message board thread off of the topic and putting the focus square on himself. It a routine that's getting mighty old on this messageboard.
  11. we also squandered a lot of chances in the first part of the 2nd half, all in all a tie and 2 away goals is not the worst result.
  12. well supposedly it was gamst's set piece effort that led to McCarty's goal. That of course means he was probably anonymous for the other 44 minutes and 45 seconds.
  13. anyone care that West Ham just conceded a goal at home just before the half?
  14. Apparently he's watched too many Jose Moriniho and Alex Ferguson press conferences!
  15. apparently that's the secret, turn on the lights, and Rovers turn on the Set Piece goals.... someone re-wire the lights at Ewood, quick!
  16. Wow, looking at the bootom of the screen.... 60 users reading this topic!!!!!!!
  17. wow the uefa.com ticker is slow, it just registered their goal...
  18. Interesting that ESPN Soccernet has our subs as: (G) Jason Brown 23 (D) Aaron Mokoena 15 (D) Eddie Nolan 32 (D) Andy Todd 4 (M) Sergio Peter 31 (S) Francis Jeffers 17 (S) Shabani Nonda 9 Nolan of course being the surprise. However, Gray is more likely.....
  19. Only disappointed that Gray didn't learn enough from Flitcroft... no need to involve Rooney at all.
  20. And you know this because you've polled every blackburn fan in the Lancashire area and asked them why they didn't attend, right?
  21. anyone else surprised that Cahill wasn't playing?
