  1. slight bump to keep it alive! I just lost a match that I shouldn't have... but I should still easily get no worse than 2nd in my pitiful div 5 again. I had every intention of making my team as good as possible and promoting fast, but now I'm realizing that I can stcik here and win a lot of easy matches for seasons on end and build up a lot of cash before moving onto div 4. I probably won though, it'd get boring. at the end of the season, though, I should have a 20 yo. outsanding PM, outstanding winger, with solid passing and powerful! He's a joy to train!
  2. American, if you need help with the USA ones, let me know.
  3. and the full .pdf of the rules are here: Click ME! I'll be perusing them soon to try and ferret out some details..... edit: these are the 2005/2006 rules, and MAY not be valid for 2006/2007, annex 1A says we'd enter first round, but AFTER the qualifiying rounds, which means any team is in play, even teams losing in the CL. We'll get one home and away, and then when we move on, there'll be a group round, groups of 5 teams, top 3 advance. Ithe "draw" appears to be seeded, by a formula in Secion IV 6.03 of the .pdf. But with the Defeated CL teams entering, and the Qualifying round to be played, I'm not sure how early that can happen.
  4. to echo things said earlier. Adu could possibly be a huge star in the future, but its a ways off. Currently he is too lightweight, and moans too much both on and off the field. Although I guess moaning on the field might actually make him a bigger star.
  5. He may have been cup-tied for the ManU match and W. Ham as well? so maybe the thought is to let him keep playing, then recall him?
  6. Is that a ManU 4 mins (closer to 6) or a Blackburn 4 mins (closer to 1)
  7. Peter could make himself a legend with a goal or assist right here...
  8. That's why I asked, because if we bring on Peter to create chances, I don't have confidence in Kuqi to bang them home....
  9. I'm going based on what I'm reading in about 4 places since I'm at work, but who should come off?
  10. what's the atmosphere been like, especailly when reid scored, and during the tunnel incident?
  11. The longer this goes on where we are one goal down, the lack of Bellamy hurts more and more....
  12. also from espn soccernet (including the last save by Brad): Match Stats Man Utd Blackburn Shots (on Goal) 6(6) 2(1) Fouls 7 5 Corner Kicks 5 2 Offsides 3 2 Time of Possession 46% 54% Yellow Cards 1 1 Red Cards 0 0 Saves 1 6
  13. don't ask him post the link on the board, ffs! surely anyone who reads this board knows the legal liability issues...
  14. from espn soccernet front page: "The Carling Cup semi-final between Manchester United and Blackburn remains evenly poised with the teams locked at 1-1 at the interval. Ruud van Nistelrooy capitalised on a defensive mix-up to net an early opener before Steven Reid followed suit just after the half hour. But tempers began to fray when Van Nistelrooy saw a hotly contested penalty saved by Brad Friedel. And then there appeared to be a brawl in the tunnel as the teams left the pitch, with Rio Ferdinand in a ruck with Robbie Savage."
  15. and the agregate is ties up, another goal for us would be huge, for the lead and for the away goals!
  16. seeing that ManU lineup, I'm actually more excited about our chances! I think we can control the midfield, make ManU resort to lumping the ball forward. As long as we can defend the long ball and not let their front 3 control those long passes, we should be set for the final!
  17. I hope you are right, I think we destroy that team in the middle of the park, rooney rvn and saha get very frustrated with the lack of play and start commiting fouls... I'd say we'd see at least 2 yellows to their strikers if that's the case
  18. That is the one, sorry for bringing it up... but I needed the details so shut this peice of manure up...
  19. Checked quickly, but couldn't find a reference in the thread.... I know MGPs goal was very similar to the Galagher goal (same end of the pitch and all) But I've got this ManU supporter bugging me about that "sham of a goal", can anyone remind me of this match... didn't ManU score a similar dodgy goal for a winner against us very late in a match within the last year or so, anyone remember when, or what details I'm confusing, because I can't remember, but I'd like to give this guy some greif right back.
