  1. Dack would be wasted tieing him down to a more structured role. You don't want him running back marking people.
  2. Mm, not many goals in that set up though. Might work away from home at tough opponents.
  3. Cheers , I know who you mean now. I can't say I've seen much of him.
  4. I agree with you on that one. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see that formation tried out at some point. I'm not a big fan. It makes sense of the pursuit of the Charlton centre half to make up the back three.
  5. That must mean one of Pope or Heaten are on their way. He can't have come to be third choice.
  6. I agree it's a big gamble. I wouldn't say he's not Championship standard yet. Too early to say for me. Are we going to play a formation that suits him IE two up front with him next to another striker ? Not many teams play that way these days. Especially teams that have just moved up to a higher level. As a winger he's not a natural. He's the sort of player that can run onto the ball past people but not necessarily with the ball. He reminds me a lot of Matty Derbyshire.
  7. I can see that being our starting line up with Samuel on the right and Bennett on the left.
  8. Pamela Stephenson, the lucky sod.
  9. I saw us go to Burnley and win with four Blackburn born lads playing in attack. Douglas, Pickering, Byrom, Ratcliffe. We'd be hard pressed to field four lads from Lancashire these days.
  10. He's as funny as being whipped.
  11. I'd be surprised if Armstrong plays. He needs to be signed first for a start. I think Samuel will start instead.
  12. I don't know but that kit is 100% better than the new kit.
  13. Always injured. He's got lots of ability but he doesn't play enough.
  14. Not right off the top of my head. I haven't watched as much football as I used to do in the last few years. You can bet your boots there'll be players out there that can do that job. This is were our scouting system has to step up. We need to be looking outside the football league.
  15. I think the lad is a good player and he's an excellent finisher but like every player he has his flaws. He's one of the best young strikers out there but he not the sort who " leads the line ". He plays best off the shoulder of a player like Graham who can play him in. I don't think he's a winger , certainly at the higher level we find our selves at now. Are we going to play two up front ? Putting him out wide on one wing and Palmer on another looks ok on paper but may not work out so well on grass.
  16. Bloody good signing though. The new Chris Samba.
  17. I'll be happy if after this we sign a more conventional central striker, IE somebody who can hold up the ball and bring other players into play. If Armstrong is the sum total of our recruitment striker wise I''m not so impressed.
  18. I can't recall a win at Ipswich in all the time I've been watching Rovers and that's along, long time. I just don't fancy us for this one, as somebody else said we rarely start the season well. Whatever skill they lack Hurst will have them make up for in effort and organisation.
  19. Yeah they'd be tackling each other to try and get the ball ! Team shape is all about balancing skills and abilities. No good having too many chiefs and not enough Indians. There's one chief too many in that tribe.
  20. He's be buying or loaning for buying's sake. He's not the sort of player we need.
  21. Is he better than Dack though ? Could you play both in the same team ?
  22. That's because the people running the show have no idea.
  23. I saw him playing for Swansea after he went back and he ran the legs off the opposing left back.
