  1. http://www2.b3ta.com/hawking/ http://www2.b3ta.com/patrickmoore/ Needs sound. Are they genius or just taking up webspace that could be better used for porn? You decide
  2. I think Vinjay's medication needs may have to be reassessed with the possibilty of some more beta blockers. It seems to me that Vinjay is against: 1) The Fans 2) The Walkers 3) John Williams 4) Mark Hughes 5) Mrs Williams 6) Mrs Williams' Tortoise Alan Could anyone explain why he doesnt like a small town in Europe? And why he seems so upset that we did so well last year? Is it because all his moaning has no point? And as for common assualt? Thats Libel and to be honest Mr Vinjay, you have done nothing worth the effort to beat seven shades of crap out of you. I mean your constant whining, although incredibly annoying, is at the end of things, just a reflection on yourself. Totaly irrelevant
  3. taxing posters on football forums who never post about football? Phil, that happened to me about two years ago, I was told because they were affecting the local lay lines and the earths energy at the location. She seemed surprised when I burst out laughing and shocked whene I told here where she could stuff her pettition. I then saw getting into a spotless land cruiser. Bloody suburban weekend hippies
  4. They're doing trial on some kind of tidal turbine, other than that I think they're still trying to come up with a decent wave turbine that doesnt destroy the ecosystem on shore or something. I suppose we could build more hydroelectric plants, as they are in scotland near loch ness, but it usually means that valleys have to be turned into reservoirs, which the locals, for some reason oppose. something to do with being 200 foot under water or something. Bloody nimbies
  5. lots, but the idea isnt ot power the whole company, just some of it - I think they're looking at 20%+ from renewables, more if they sort out the tidal power stuff. Looks like Nuclear's going to be the main option. It'll be interesting to see how this Fusion reactor they're going to build in France works.
  6. I think aesthetically they're quite beautiful. I never understood the "ruining of the countryside" argument. And im sure the birds can cope with them, survival of the least stupid and all that
  7. im sure it can. But unfortunately we dont seem to be able to do the same
  8. good old littlejohn. Ive only been around 28 years can anyone older remember the last time we reached the last week in November and there was still a lot of deciduous trees with green leaves on?
  9. Someone needs some new underwear. Achtung Schnell Schnell Achtung Spitfuer!! (cheers dave) http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=...1535&q=spitfire
  10. Ben Elton's latest offering is nowhere near as bad as you'ld expect - it paints a really vivid picture of the insanity and carnage of the Trenches. Im reading "Life and other near death experiences" by Mill Millington, its making me laugh if that helps
  11. she took the money for Mr White and his employers - its simple Im a big fan of the Bond series and its campness - but this film was utterly awesome - I think the next film will be more like the previous (ie a bit more gadgets, Q, etc) but will be more serious and less silly. The Bourne franchise should be appluaded for reinventing the Bond franchise. and Craig will now need a few more films to make the role his own, but he's done a very good start. I got to sit and rev an Aston DB-S on friday night - all I can say is that its lucky that it had leather seats
  12. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6136276.stm So I've got the tickets booked for Saturday (in Bristol - dont ask why) It looks rather good now and I havent heard anything bad about in the last few months - the song for its ###### but when was the last good one?
  13. I know what you mean Jack - Im with AOSmell and Ive never (touch wood) had a problem that was AOL related - BT cocking up yes but not AOL (BT decided that Number 23 was more deserving than number22 [where I live] to recieve the DSL line that I'd paid for)
  14. probably but think how much porn you can download in 7 seconds. Although you wont get to enjoy it as you'll have gone blind
  15. come on NTL cant deliver a 512k connection most of the time, what chance a 50mb one?
  16. 2-0 now Angel after some shocking defending from Ralph little We're looking very tired at teh moment
  17. Wakefielddrawks - mind your manners there's no need for those type of posts. Behave. And RTM watch your language. And according to five live (and the biased Radio WM) the scorelines fair and so was the penalty - i suppose teh highlites will show the truth
  18. Cheers Scouse. Is it wrong of me to actually like "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"? and dont think its as bad some of the other movies
  19. anyone heard about Casino Royal - i've seen some "Its Great" and some "Its not so Great" reviews from advance screenings still if there's not crap CGI surfing on a car door - ill be happy
  20. The state of fear got absolutely crucified by the majority of the world's scientists if I remeber rightly. Still its all about believing what you want to believe. Taxing the stuff that pollutes the most or is most damaging is probably the only thing to do, other than banning the stuff. But what the government has to do is to use the taxation raised towards energy conservation, cheap or free solar cells, household windturbines, improved insulation, large reductions on hybrid/electric vehicles etc etc etc. Otherwise Phil and Mum are right - its pointless. I for one have reinsulated the house and we have low energy lightbulbs and a fairly efficient boiler and heating system. Id be quite happy if I could afford solar cells and a house wind turbine, unfortunately I cant. I do cycle to work does that count for anything (I promise I dont wear lycra)
  21. (stop hoovering) Biddster - it does depend also on what your next door neighbours are up to. Chuck - a transmitter's easier - Coax is cheaper
  22. I thought Gray was alright last night, Jay Mac offers nothing better - but less pace
