  1. The fact is Toogs made an attempted block, not even an attempted tackle, the spuds player then turned into Toogs and blatently kicked his trailing foot, then he proceded to roll around. I'd have sent the Spuds player off
  2. So you're saying it's no longer a contact sport? No wonder crowds are dropping.
  3. Don't get too 'relaxed' or you won't remember the match
  4. Exactly. Why can't the FA retrospectively punish the divers and cheaters or more to the point, why don't they?
  5. Even so, I still find it hard to accept a guy can be sent off and susequently banned for something which was purely accidental.
  6. The refs in Europe don't carry the same bias against us as do premiership refs.
  7. It seems the only way we'll ever win games is if we score three or four, putting the game well beyond the reach of the opposition and the referee.
  8. All this talk of walkways to and from the ground reminded me of Derby in the late seventies, early eighties. That one was uncovered though and all manner of missiles came into it as you walked down it. For all those making the trip, have a great time, lets see plenty interim reports from internet cafes. Drink lots, Sing loud, Stay safe
  9. Well Rev, I had a great view of the handball. It clearly passed by his chest and he controlled it with his arm. The only excuse the officials can have is that they didn't see it. It's this 'I didn't see it' attitude that should endorse the use of a fourth official watching the game on a monitor. The ref was in a rank bad position at the time of the incident anyway. And according to the experts on Match of the Day, it was a definate penalty, a definate red card and definately not handball. I must have dreamt it all.
  10. Although they usually do well at Ewood, we are due a win. Rovers 1 : 0 Spuds
  11. Quote - I can barely stand going to Ewood at the moment because it means I have to sit with Rovers fans. What a strange thing to say. Why not sit with the away fans?
  12. An employee who is unhappy at work will throw in lots of sickies, I don't suppose Dunny is any different. All we can ask from him is that if Rovers do make a January enquiry about him, he is totally honest about his fitness.
  13. Someones nicked 300 seats then, each end was built to seat 8000.
  14. Hang on a while, Rovers have applied for more tickets.
  15. He got in News of the World's team of the week for his performance yesterday
  16. Just a quick link for anyone that enjoyed the half time entertainment. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/scoreangels/
  17. Who told you he was a winger? Never trust that person again
  18. The World has a problem with political correctness. Well said Mike Newell
  19. In reality we should have lost more heavily. They won't miss that many chances in one game again this season. McCarthy has come down to earth with a bump. He looks lazy, slow, he always seems to keep hold of the ball far too long and why does he always do a Metcalfe and turn full circle when he gets the ball?
  20. I think that comment was just refering to the result. He obviously thought what we all thought, that they were a class above us all over the pitch and fully deserved their win. I think they were under the stand in the concourse and were unaware the minutes silence was being observed.
