Which fool decided to drop Graham Thorpe? Nobody can honestly say they would prefer Ian Bell in the side ahead of Graham Thorpe, there is just no contest. Thought Pieterson proved to everybody he is test standard just a shame he had a mare in the field when usually he's excellent. Maybe that can be put down to nerves and him wanting to impress so much but we were poor all round in the field. We'll have to sharpenm up a lot if we are to have a chance - and stop collapsing in the batting department.

Agreed but he wasn't the only one to drop catches and he did bat better than most of the others. I still think he's the best choice for wicket keeper. Before the One Dayers began i was really positive about our chances in the Ashes but i feel that the Natwest series and the Natwest challenge have been excellent warm-up games for them and i just fell that they are coming in to form particularly Ponting and Gilchrist after their Hundreds. If we can compete in the first couple of test and avoid defeat the pressure will mount on the Aussies and i feel we will have a chance to finally beat them again. Gonna be a cracking series can't wait for it to begin tomorrow morning. CUMON ENGLAND!!!
