  1. He will play a strong squad but we have had 4 tough games in the last week and a bit plus with the cup semis and the league games coming up some players will need rests. I expect us to have a tea out that is far too god for them though.
  2. I think we will win comfortably by 3 or 4 goals. Hopfully Jansen gets a game, although i can't see it with his comments last week. Would be nice for him to have one last game at Ewood Park for Rovers.
  3. We were fantastic first half, despite the early goal it didn't knock us off our stride and we went in at half time deserved leaders. Bentley, Pedersen and Reid were all brilliant and ran the midfield for us. Second half we were poor but managed to hang on despite some.... interesting defending. Bentley went missing again and Matteo showed his true credentials!!! All in all delighted with the win having played so many games in a short space oftime it was all about getting the win, which is what we did. Some big gamescoming up, the 2 games against the mancs are possibly the biggest of our season from here on in. No worries of relegation and we may struggle to push much higher in the league this is our best ticket into Europe, lets hope we catch the mancs on some bad days and pull off a huge shock.
  4. Matty was a class act, he scored the goals that got us promoted and 1 of the goals that won us the worth cup, massive shame that Hughe didn't give him a proper chance to show what he can do.
  5. I think we will win, it won't be easy but i think we would win. i would bring Bellers and Tugay back into the side but who to leave out? It's a tough call to make lets hope Sparky get's it right.
  6. Got FM 2006, haven't had chance to play on it properly yet, started with Rovers of course, anyone found any good players for good prices?
  7. Dunny is my hero and i want him to come back to Rovers more than anything else. He looked bafled by Bruce's tactics yesterday let's hope he's had enough and come's back home where he belongs.
  8. Bentley's not playing upfront and isn't worth a place in any premiership side but for some reason is idolised by Hughes and must remain in the side when it is blatantly obivous he isn't good enough. He couldn't get anywhere near the Norwich side last year and doesn't look to have improved at all. Why not start Kuqi at least he puts hmself about and causes problems.
  9. What do you mean bring back 4-5-1? Thats what we are playing because for some reason Hughes thinks it's better to never try and win a game playing 4-5-1 with that waste of space Bentley on the pitch for every minte of every game. There's no possible way for him to justify 4-5-1. We started that way at Charlton and were crap until we changed it and the same against West Ham. We haven't scored in 8 games this season, which is soon to be 9 all done to Hughes's awful tactics. We keep throwing away easy points in easy games because we play 4-5-1 and can't create enough chances because we have nothing up front.
  10. Why doesn't that suprise me, the guy's a complete to$$er, i'm goin for 2-1 to Rovers, Emerton and Kuqi to score, one of Boa Morte or Todd to get sent off, if not both!
  11. Brilliant result and a great second half in terms of entertainment. I thought Mickeal Gray and Lucas Neil were once again brilliant and pleased that Kuqi got on to score and hopefully he can get a start at Fulham next week. I still have no idea why Bentley started when he obviously isn't good enough or why Emerton was taken off, hen Bentley should have made way. Still delighted we got the points and lets hope we cans et up our christmas period with another win next week.
  12. Is this definatley true about Bellamt though? BBC, Sky and the official site haven't got anything on about it.
  13. We cant get too much worse than the last few league games, 1 goal in the last 5 league games is it? Thats awful form as it is, but its still a massive blow to us.
  14. Agree. he always seems to be on the fringes of the game and plays in spells, i'd rather Hughes gave Jansen a try in that role
  15. We lost the game because we were crap, yes we should have scored 3 or 4 and why didnt we, because our players were not good enough to take their chances, their players were. Everybody is blaming Halsey but it was the lino who told him it was handball and told him to send him off, once he was told this could Halsey have said no? Of course not. It wasnlt Halsey's fault we got beat it was Hughes' and the players, they wern't good enough.
  16. Once again Hughes has a shocker with the tactics and formation. There's no way he can justify playing with 1 striker at home against Everton. As for playing Bentley and Thompson, another shocking piece of managment by Hughes. Neither of them are anywhere near good enough to get near the first team. Bentley hides away for most of the game and doesn't get involed and Thompson's passing is dreadful. It takes Hughes this long to realise we are much more attacking and a beter side without Savage and then plays 4-5-1 when he does drop Svaage! Surely the whole point of leaving Savage out was to become more attacking? In the after match interview Hughes said we missed a good chance to ghet into the top half of the table, well why didnt he go and try and win the game against an average side with an attacking formation? I'm getting annoyed with his constant negative tactics and insistence of playing certain players. Why was Zurab left out again? Todd shouldn't even have been on the pich to get sent off, if Hughes had got the selection right that may not have happened. We threw points away at City playing the wrong formation, nearly got us knocked out of the Carling Cup playing the same formation and we had an abysmal display today. Simply not good enough. We have 1 good result followed by 4 or 5 crap ones, another under-achieving seaosn down in the bottom 8 because of poor management. The only difference between Souness and Hughes is that Hughes has us more organised and beter at the basics but he is clueless whwen it comes to tactics and trying to win games.
  17. Great comeback last night, again no coincidence that we looked far more dangerous and attacking once Savage went off, Rovers are a much better side without that pratt in the side. Great to see Thommo back with a cracker, lets hope he can get into some form. Hopefully Hughes will start with a 4-4-2 against Everton as we looked awful playing 4-5-1.
  18. I think its the perfect time to capitalise on Charltons crap form of late. 2-0 Rovers
  19. Savage is the biggest fool ever to wear a Rovers shirt, seriously how many needless bookings can one player pick up, sometimes i think there are no braincells under that shocking barnet. Idon't think it's a coincidence that our best performance of the season at home v Charlton, Savage wasn't playing.
  20. Why not? Maybe we deserved to get beat but we still could have been unlucky, they scored 3 very good goals, that to me is unlucky that they produced those against us and not next week.
  21. After hearing match reports sound like we played quite well and were unlucky to lose 3-0.
  22. Didn't expect anything else really, we were always gonna struggle with their quality.
  23. It's going to be a long hard afternoon. If were lucky and clinical then i feel we have a chance of getting something. United at Upton Park again ey, will you be crying again this time?
  24. Do they need Keane? Arsenal could be takers, how funny what that be.
  25. I was actually quite gutted after watching the game. I watched both legs and thought England were brilliant and very unlucky. They came up gainst a decent French team and were beaten due because that French cheat won them a penalty. It was great to see an England side give it their all for their country and i was impressed with Tom Huddlestone who looked a different class playing defensive midfield and Anton Ferdinand looked quality as well. It's a shame that the penalty incident spoilt 2 great game of football.
