  1. I was in the Blackburn end and i couldn't believe how fast the ball flew! It was an amazing strike, one of the best goals i've ever seen at Ewood! Pedersen's wasn't too shabby either, great cross from Kuqi too.
  2. Very disappointed in the turn out but pleased with the display and especially pleased with the result! Neil was brilliant and Kuqi's work rate impressed me, Pedersen caused them problems throughout. 3 points on the board lets kick on.
  3. I think 4-5-1 would be the best choice for tomorrow, we need a solid performance, clean sheet and some points on the board to bring back some confidence. i'm predictin 2-0 Rovers, Kuqi and Pedersen to score.
  4. Fans know that games are overpriced but theres not alot we can do to stop it really apart from not turning up and to be honest i would think that most fans would rather put up with it to get to watch their team.
  5. Me too, i want to hear the facts first before worrying, especially after the Jansen scare against Espanyol.
  6. The decision wasn't made entirely for test cricket but also for county cricket. The extra millions of pounds is vital for the counties because apart from twenty20 games the crowds are non-existant, meaning no income apart from the counties who have test status grounds. Personally i would like to see cricket remain on channel 4 because i think there coverage is better than sky's. It would also mean more people get to watch it, which has certainly helped this Ashes series grip the whole nation because the whole nation has had chance to watch it! It's a shame there isn't more of a compramise
  7. Does anyone know hwo many tickets have been sold for Saturdays game up to now?
  8. Awesome test match, just lacked a fairy tale ending like a harmy yorkie last ball flattening the stumps. I agree with that artical about the prem season being a bit of an intrusion(i never thought i would say such a thing but it's true?) Hopefully we can do enough to get the ashes back but i've got a sneaky feeling its gonna be 2-2 Can't praise both sets of players enough, both skippers lead from the front and made it into a enthrauling 5 days. Long live cricket!
  9. These close nerve-raking games are too much for me! Can't believe how many times the ball has beat the outside edge today!
  10. Last wicket to fall in the last over of the day!
  11. Great too see so many people interested in cricket, lets hope that England don't let them down!
  12. Everyone should lay off Geraint Jones. As a keeper myself i know how tough it is. The stumping chance was extremely difficult because of the suprise bounce on the ball, the catch into the sun was unfortunate, if he can't see the ball he aint gonna catch it! Geraints a good keeper and a damn good batter as well who is a useful member of the team.
  13. Even the stumping chance was difficult, the ball did bounce alot higher than normal. I know the sun was in his eyes but that chance was regulation stuff. Lets hope we have 2 fine days weather wise so we can finish the game off.
  14. I've just watched the game on football first and i was pleased with the performance first half. Second haf they were better ut as soon as we went 2-1 down the boys gave up and to me that's un-acceptable. Savage and Reid were overrun in midfield and when we went 4-5-1 Bellamy couldn't hold the ball up and it kept coming back and back at our defence. Very disappointed. I'm not even gonna comment on what Emerton was trying to do for that third goal
  15. Agreed, ok we were poor but its early days yet. Lets back the team and hope we show a bit of bouncebackability.........ok LOTS of bouncebackability.
  16. Terrible, how can we fall apart to a poor side like that. Mokoena is not a centre half, we saw that last season. John Williams' prediction of season ticket sales has just taken a turn for the worse!
  17. Sorry mate my mistake, i meant to quote from the Tony Parkes comment not yours! My error.
  18. Agreed, finally someone who knows about Rovers and the players. Top guy.
  19. Thats not quite true as it's usually us that wants it to rain not the Aussies!
  20. It's a tough call i think we should enforce the follow on because you can't predict the weather in Manchester but then that also means Warne will get to bowl last and inevitably get the most turn. I thought Gilo was superb again today, as was Simon Jones.
  21. Right lets have a few early wickets now!
  22. We need to get up over 500 to give ourselves a real chance.
  23. Thtas twice he's been unluky now, he got a dodgy one at Edgbaston when he hit his pad instead of the ball.
