  1. Brilliant performance yesterday. Haven't seen such a good game at Ewood in the last 3 seasons. Tugay is a magician, him and Reid controlled the majority of the game against a 5 man midfield and set up most of our attacks. Emerton was also brilliant and lets hope he finds some consistency, Neil also dedserves special praise to have to play in 3 positions in one game, another class performance from him. Reid had dodgy first half but improved massively second and surely Savage's place in the team must be under threat for the City game. Everbody gave 110% and we can't ask for any more, especially when they play like that as well.
  2. I think we will win on saturday, Charlton have had a few sticky result recently and i think that will work to our advantage. 2-1 Bellamy and Pedersen.
  3. Where there any monkey chants? I didnt here any from where i was sat (towards the back near the netting close to the home fans) Any racist chants are unacceptable but there was nothing wrong with the chants i herd (and sang)
  4. If anyone was to blame it was Savage for giving the stupid free-kick away on the edge of the box. Cisse struck it powerfully and i don't think Friedel could have stopped it.
  5. Not too down about the game. We were fine until the referee decided he wanted his name in the papers tomorrow. With 11 men i dont think we would have lost. How Liverpool could pay £21 million for Crouch and Cisse i will never know, presonally i would rather have Bill and Ben upfront. Knew Cisse wouold score as soon as we started singing about his leg but it was funny. Bellamy back next saturday and i'm sure we will bounce straight back.
  6. Agree, but he still isn't good enough in my opinion.
  7. Crouch yet to score for Liverpool and who do we play next week? Everyone always scores their first goals against Rovers! That said the guy is very poor and won't last long in the England team or the Liverpool.
  8. Guesses as to who it is? I say ! For legal reasons Plaease dont mention names . Thanks Alan75
  9. Nope i'm as English as they come, just fed up with boring, negative football(for club and country) and want to see a manager in charge who has passion and knows exactly how it feels to be an England fan.
  10. Part of me wants England to lose both games then Sven can get sacked and England can still qualify through the playoffs. We still go to Germany but with a chance of winning if we don't have Sven.
  11. Great second half display! So many times Rovers have dropped points in games like this, especially after a poor first half display. Great to see the charachter in the team. Brilliant, almost as chuffed as last week!
  12. Rovers have been given a huge selction boost already ahead of that game... Savage is suspended . Lets play an attacking midfield and get at them and give em a good pasting.
  13. According to sky Rovers had 10 shots and all 10 were on target! United only had 5 on target and 17 off target! Who has spent £60 million on there attackers?
  14. Fantastic, completely unexpected. Bring on abit of consistency!
  15. Bellamy as a lone striker is hopeless, not tall enough and not strong enough. Its going to be a long hard afternoon. 3-0.
  16. I felt sorry for the Huddersfield fans last night. They turned up in there thousands and it was a shame there wasn't alot of Rovers fans there and it could have been a good atmosphere. Possibly there biggest game of the season and it's played out in front of 5 thousand home fans and 20 thousand empty seats.
  17. Dunno the exact figure but the season ticket sales were 7% down on last years. I know thats not much help without any figures but thats as much as i know.
  18. Well surely the club can't expect to fill the stadium every week whilst were paying lots of our hard earned cash to watch that shower of sh!te every week. The only way to bring the crowds back is to play attacking, exciting football and to win games. Not playing 4-5-1 and hoping we nick a goal every now and again.
  19. Certain changes! We need a completely new midfield, another decent striker (Kuqi - don't make me laugh!) and a manager thats willing to play exciting attacking football. Were in for yet another relegation battle, one which we are already behind in.
  20. It's no wonder the attendaces are so bad, were playing crap, long ball football to a small striker who has lots of pace, yes that makes sense. Reid doesn't offer any width but it's still a good idea to play him wide on the right. Savage creates ###### all but for some reason is in the side ahead of Tugay. Newcastle are very very average at best, yet we still sit off them and look happy to keep it at nil all for as long as possible. If wehad played 4-4-2 we would have played alot more attacking probly scored goals and sent the fans home happy. In the after match interview Hughes said we didn't have a good enough defensive platform with which to work from, so i take it we'll be going 5-5-0 next week, taking away the tiny amount of entertainment there is in our home games and making the club a complete laughing stock. Although it's still early in the season i haven't seen anybody worse than Rovers except for Sunderland. We are ok at the back most of the time, incredibly poor in midfield with no creativity or quality (with the exception of Tugay every now and again) Upfront we have no chance because the ball never gets there along the floor! Kuqi is the only striker that makes Ashley Ward look world class. Hughes talks utter crap and needs to play more attacking if we want any chance of getting anywhere near 40 points. We are in for a long hard season, probably with disappointment at the end of it.
  21. Sounds like a good deal that Wez. I suggest you take it!
  22. You're spot on there pg, nothing will motivate the Aussies more than seeing all the hype about crickewt in England. Me thinks it might not be as sporting when we go down under next year. They will have learnt an awful lot from this tour and i'm sure it will be another great series when we meet again.
  23. It's a terrible average, Collngwood is a much better choice ahead of Bell and Key.
